SME Relationship Manager


Reporting to the Branch Manager, the person is responsible for selling SME products and provide general business banking solutions to customers while observing the policies, processes and procedures of KCB Bank.
Responsibilities
·         Execute sales of SME assets, Liabilities and other product types as per targets allocated by your Branch Manager.

·         To deal with customer queries, requests, instructions, suggestions/service feedback and dissemination of information on bank products to both existing and potential customers.
·         Facilitate the branch’s Service Delivery to customers.
·         Handle Establishment of new and Variation of existing account relationships.
·         Deal primarily with SME accounts.
·         Selling bank products to new customers and cross selling to existing customers.
·         Handling establishment of new account relationships, Variations to the existing relationships, Initial stages of credit matters, and Dissemination of information relating to the Bank’s Products & Services.
·         Deposit mobilization for the bank
·         Extending support and guidance to Customer Care Rep.
·         Leadership of the Branch’s customer service.
·         Credit cards/debit cards inquiries and encashment.
·         Collect information from customers relating to account relationship.
·         Handling of shares IPO related matters.
·         Initial interview of customers who require financial assistance/facilities and direct them accordingly ensuring that relevant supporting documents are obtained.
·         Doing Business banking returns, Customer care returns, Sales returns, and relevant areas of the Executive Summary.
·         Annual branch budget relevant areas.
·         Sales calls and market intelligence gathering.
·         Receive and solve or escalate both verbal and written customer complaints noting to record them in the customer complaints register.
·         Receiving, guiding and doing initial appraisal of loan applications
·         Explaining and having customers sign letters of offer.
·         Offering information on check-off loans, receiving applications, Appraising & Dispatching them to CRU-H/O, and Guiding & Witnessing acceptance of terms of credit on offer letters.
·         Completing of the advances facilities books (date applied, approved/declined, date letter of offer signed, date draw down made, etc).
·         Any other duties that may be allocated from time to time.
Qualifications
·         University degree in Business related degree from a recognized and reputable institution.
·         At least 3 years working experience in front line sales, credit analysis and customer service
·         Experience in developing and supporting business strategy is essential.
·         A good understanding of Risk, Compliance policies and procedures.
·         Demonstrated consistent high performance in role(s) held.
·         Knowledge of current trends and best practice in Banking.
·         Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with ability to network, generate new business and develop strong business relations.
·         Knowledge of the Banking Regulatory guidelines, products and services.

Business Architect Manager

Reporting to the Head of Group Enterprise Architecture, the Senior Manager, Business Architect will be responsible for developing and maintaining business capabilities of the enterprise in line with the corporate strategy as well as contributing to the business strategy and plans. Lead IT business process architecture (information and process design, modeling, mapping, documentation, improvement and\or enhancement) of all IT Systems in use by the Bank. Participate in IT System(s) procurement, development, implementation and review to ensure that Business Process Architecture standards and methods are applied in line with Bank policy and best practice.
Responsibilities
·         Elicit business requirements using interviews, analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, tasks and workflow analysis.
·         Translates strategic initiatives into delivery-focused change initiatives, while translating business processes and issues into effective conceptual and logical models.
·         Liaise with the Business subject matter experts in the development of business architectural framework developing a clear roadmap of Business solutions.
·         Lead effort to work with business leaders to identify business capability needs and IT integration
·         Facilitate the identification and analysis of the Bank’s business drivers to deliver enterprise business, information, technical and solution architecture requirements.
·         Function as a liaison to Business and IT partners in order to gain a broad understanding of industry trends and innovations, and their impact on technology.
·         Provide an analysis to determine best path for solving business problems/opportunities that may include process improvement visa Vis information technology systems enhancement.
·         Provide architectural oversight of projects and ensure that requirements are in alignment with business strategies and business architecture roadmap/framework.

Qualifications
·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field of study.
·         Professional qualifications such as CBAP, TOGAF, ITIL Foundation.
·         Project Management; PRINCE II is added advantage.
·         10 years progressive experience in Information Technology.
·         5 years’ experience in at least two IT disciplines such as business architecture, application architecture, application development, middleware and SOA.
·         At least 5 years’ experience in Database management systems.
·         At least 3 years’ experience in a leading formal enterprise architecture framework.
·         Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments.
·         Excellent understanding of software delivery processes and methodologies (i.e. waterfall, agile, hybrid).
·         Familiarity with graphical modeling approaches, tools and model repositories.

·         Ability to liaise with all levels of management and subject matter experts across the industry and within the organization to drive adoption of Business Architecture.

Business Architect

The job holder must demonstrate proficiency in developing IT business process models (automated, manual processes, system & process interfaces) and related documentation for IT Systems in use by or to be procured by the Bank in line with Bank policy, Business Process Architecture best practice, standards and methods.

Enterprise Architect

The holder of the role will be responsible for providing a technology governance framework and set of standards to enable acquisition, development and deployment of IT solutions &services that maximize interoperation, re-use, minimize duplication, optimize se of IT assets, reduce incidents on service and overall simplify the IT environment across the Bank. The role will report to the Head of Group Enterprise Architecture.
Responsibilities
·         Lead the enterprise architecture governance and compliance processes to ensure all areas of the organization are architecting and implementing solutions that adhere to the defined guiding principles and defined architecture roadmaps.
·         Deliver an enterprise architecture framework that drives technology, solutions development standards and provide common approaches for integration across enterprise applications, processes, and data leading to architecture artifacts, frameworks and patterns to be used as references by the development teams across the organization.
·         Creation and recommend for approval the governing principles to guide EA decision making by collaborating with the extended architecture community.
·         Govern processes and solutions and ensure that the defined Enterprise Architecture taxonomy is leveraged by the enterprise.
·         Evolve the Enterprise middleware state by continued adoption drive for SOA through setup & improvement of a SOA Governance Reference Model and roadmap.
·         Lead analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise architecture.
·         Develop guidelines and standards that will direct and inform how Information Technology investments will be evaluated for compliance with the Bank’s Enterprise Architecture.
·         Align and rationalize technology decisions and investments and develop a catalogue of approved technologies for the Bank.
·         Publish periodic reports on Enterprise Architecture compliance, progress, compliance issues, and provide guidance on the treatment required to achieve compliance.
·         Provide and maintain a repository for all EA artefacts including procedures, standards and tools and continuously guide on their consumption and measure adoption.
·         Provide guidance for the IT Change Management through standardized methods and procedures for efficient and prompt handling of all changes to control IT environments leading to reduced impact and incidents upon service and alignment/adherence to Enterprise Architecture.
·         Performing analysis and evaluating internal and external business drivers that may influence change in the enterprise target architecture.
Qualifications
·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field of study.

Applications Architect

The Applications Architect is responsible for developing IT Solution blueprints (software, versioning & licensing, integrations, scalability, management requirements and standards) and related documentation for IT Systems in use by or to be procured by the Bank in line with Bank policy, architecture best practices, standards and methods. The holder of the role will demonstrate proficiency in Applications Solutions Architecture through the design of business solutions, service-oriented solutions and related infrastructure.
Responsibilities
·         Build a bridge between business requirements and technical specifications by understanding business requirements and use cases, and then finding ways to implement those use cases in the business applications / solutions. Identify the requirements that affect the structure and operational behaviors of the application.
·         Adopt approaches and methodologies that demonstrate reduction in the business risks associated with building of technical solutions.
·         Develop flexible designs able to handle the natural drift that occur over time in hardware and software technology, as well as in user scenarios and traffic volumes.
·         Identify the non-functional requirements for the solution and provide an architecture that best accommodates them.
·         Identify the kind of technologies, standards, licenses, capacity sizing and limitations/constraints for the application, considering the impact of other related/competing developments.
·         Create and Review Technical Architecture Documents for system changes and new systems and solutions.
·         Having understood the banks environment, provide and recommend Design Patterns and guide their application / use in delivering integration solutions in the bank.
·         Participate and guide on the non-functional tests planning and execution i.e. performance / load tests, security tests and high availability and fail over testing.
·         Document solutions, enabler features and architecture using standard architecture and software engineering artifacts.
·         Work with internal and external teams to define and maintain quality standards, coding standards and implements measures to ensure compliance through code reviews, automation, etc.
Qualifications
