Accountant Job Vacancy in Kenya – Payables

Our Client, a leading Tours & Travel Company seeks to recruit an Payables Accountant.

He/she will ensure that payables are done accurately and on time and the reports sent.
Role Description
1. Ensure all daily payables are made and at the required time.
Measure: Timely payment

2. Ensure all reconciliation accounts are attended to.
Measure: Timely reconciliation and reports done
3. Ensure fuel payments are done and records kept.
Measure: Timely payment
4. Ensure posting of XCR after XO are invoiced and on time.
Measure: Timely posting and invoicing
5. Compile client reports and post them on daily basis as expected.
Measure: Timely posted reports and % complain from the client
6. Ensure bank reconciliation are always up to date.
Measure: Correct and timely bank reconciliations
7. Ensure the receipting is done and records done in the book.
Measure:
·         Records Kept
·         Timely receipting
8. Ensure scanning of payments and receipts is done and filing with the admin representative.
Measure: Accurate and records kept
9. Ensure mobile money transactions are done and cleared.
Measure: Timely transactions done
10. Ensure credit card reconciliation and payment are done and on time.
Measure: Timely payments and reconciliation
11. Compile and share clients report are done and in timely manner.
Measure: Timely compiling of the reports
12. Prepare VAT, do filing and payment.
Measure: Accurate and timely payment
13. Make PAYE payments
Measure: Accurate and timely payment
14. Fuel management and payments and other payments.
Measure: Timely and accurate information
Requirements
·         University Degree B.com (Finance/Accounting)
·         CPA-K highly desirable
·         At least 4 years’ experience in a similar position
·         Personal Credibility, Honest, Trustworthy & High Integrity
·         Strong personality, excellent oral and written communication skills.
·         Analytical and problem solving skills
