the Technology Division.

Reporting to the Manager – Core
Planning, the position holder will be responsible for automation and transformation,
planning, design and implementation of Core Network Services across Core CS and
PS domains.
Key Responsibilities:
·
Collaborates with other Network
Engineers and Core Network Engineers in ensuring Core network support for
digital services / applications.
·
Undertakes the researching, writing,
and editing of documentation and technical requirements, including software
designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal
recommendations and reports.
·
Keeps current with technological
projects developments within the industry. Monitors and evaluates competitive
applications and products. Reviews literature, patents, standards, open source,
and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.
·
Assists with the design process and
assists in guidance with regards to practices, procedures, and techniques.
·
Assists in tracking and evaluating
performance metrics. Ensures that software is delivered on time, to
specification.
·
Works with Quality Assurance team to
determine if Core Network infrastructure and applications fit specification and
technical requirements. Tests and evaluates systems, subsystems, and
components.
·
Acts as a technical contact and
liaison for outside vendors and/or customers.
·
Presents and defends Core Network
architectural, design, and technical choices to internal and external
audiences.
·
Troubleshoots and resolves complex
Core network issues.
·
Designs and configures Core Network
System
·
Establishes and maintains Core
network performance objectives.
Qualifications
·
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems
·
3-5 years related experience
·
Knowledge on Core Network Systems
·
Software development & scripting,
Programming in Python
·
Familiarity with Virtualization &
cloud technologies
·
Possess strong analytical and

Senior Manager – Financial Systems & Processes

Description: Reporting
to the Head of Department; Financial Operations, the individual serves as the
lead in the improvement of financial & business processes to create
efficiency & process control through the use of Financial Systems and other
integrating systems.
This
position also oversees controls on Financial Systems through Master Data
management and the implementation of automated detective & preventive
control mechanisms.
The
overall goal is to ensure that all transactions processed through Financial
Systems & integrating applications, generate accurate financial accounting
entries to enable Financial Reporting teams generate both management &
statutory reports accurately and efficiently.
Job Responsibilities
·
People management and development of
the team
·
Facilitate the availability of all
required financial statements for reporting purposes through enhancement of
processes & IT systems for review by management on a timely basis.
·
Identify relevant projects required
by finance & other divisions to improve performance in both IT applications
and processes and prepare project plans to implement the projects.
·
Represent the finance division in
gate process meetings when new products are being developed to ensure all
financial system requirements relating to finance are captured.
·
Develop and implement a systematic
process for capturing all finance division, technology related application
problems and timely resolution of the same in liaison with the technology dept
and /or solution provider
·
Organize regular and relevant
training content around Financial Systems aimed at enhancing the skill of staff
already using the various modules in these systems. Training content should
also cover other applications in the business that interface into oracle
application or are depended on to provide management or financial information.
·
Review and ensure existence of a
sound disaster recovery process (DRP) for the finance systems
·
Perform quarterly control assessments
on financial systems around user access, master data management & other
critical financial transactions to ensure controls put in place are enforced
·
Ensure and monitor together with
Financial Systems owners that access rights are properly issued out to staff
members and are adhered to
·
Liaise with internal and external
auditors to extract data for audit reviews on financial systems and follow up
for timely resolution of issues found
Qualifications
·
Degree from a recognized university
in a business-related field and/or information Technology
·
At least one full professional
qualification in accounting namely CPA, ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent and an IT
qualification as well.
·
At least 7 years accounting
experience of which at least 5 years administering / implementing control
around ERP applications & other financial systems.
·
In depth understanding of the
international financial reporting standards and their application.
·
Experience in the use of report
writing applications
·
Strong leadership skills and ability
to lead people of various technical background
·
Strong analytical skills and keen
attention to details within project planning & management

Detailed Description

Job Requirements
