Vacancy Announcement
The CEC Member in charge of Trade calls for qualified persons to apply for the following advertised positions pursuant to provision of section 4(4)(h) and Section 9(4)(h) of The Tharaka Nithi County Alcoholic Drinks Control Act,2015.
1. Tharaka Nithi County Liquor Licensing Committee Members
3 Positions

Consideration
·         Must be a resident of Tharaka Nithi County
·         Must NOT be holder of Liquor License within Tharaka Nithi County
·         Must be willing to be vetted through a competitive process in accordance with the prescribed rules.
·         One of whom shall be a youth provided that not more than two persons shall be of the same gender.
·         A member of the committee shall hold office for a term of 3 Years serving on part time basis
Minimum Qualifications
·         Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education
·         A professional and able to demonstrate absence of breach of the relevant Professional code of conduct.
Compensation
The remuneration of the members of the committee shall be by way of sitting allowances determined by the Salaries and remuneration commission.
2. Sub-County Alcohol Regulation Committee Members
3 Members Per Sub-County
Consideration
·         Must be a resident of the Sub-County
·         Must NOT be holder of Liquor License within Tharaka Nithi County
·         Must be willing to be vetted through a competitive process in accordance with the prescribed rules.
·         One of whom shall be a youth provided that not more than two persons shall be of the same gender.
·         A member of the committee shall hold office for a term of 3 Years serving on part time basis
