Administrative Assistant
Responsibilities
·
Typing from manuscripts;
·
Processing data;
·
Operating office equipment by
following protocol
·
Ensuring security of office
equipment, documents and records;

Attending to visitors/clients;
·
Handling telephone calls and
appointments; and
·
Undertaking any other secretarial
duties that may be assigned.
Qualifications
·
At least a C– (Minus) in the Kenya
Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE) or its equivalent qualification
from a recognized institution;
·
Certificate in Secretarial studies,
Certificate in Business Management, Certificate in ICT, Certificate in Public
relations or any other related discipline;
OR
·
Business Education single and group
certificates (BES & GC) from the Kenya National Examination Council in the
following subjects:
1. Typewriting II (minimum 40 w.p.m.)/Computerized Document
Processing II;
2. Business English I/ Communications I;
3. Office Practice I;
4. Commerce I;
·
Craft Certificate in Secretarial
studies from the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC); and
·
Certificate in computer application
skills from a recognized institution.
