Accountant


Responsible for the finance function of the company to perform financial analysis, revenue optimization and reporting as needed and as per laid down procedures
Responsibilities
·         Reports to the Managing Director
·         Develop budget and work plan, processing payments, bank reconciliation statements preparation, prepare and submit monthly and quarterly and annual financial reports for the Company

·         Identify procurement needs, and assisting the internal and the external audit
·         Control expenditure in line with company policy and accounting standards, deal with banks/financial institutions
·         Budget preparation/cash flow management review to ensure sustainability and giving strategic advice to the Board/CMT, conduct periodic review of actual performance against budget and explaining any variances
Qualifications
·         Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Management (Accounting Option) or any other business related field
·         Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (Level 1 -Level 3, Final) , ACCA, or relevant professional qualification
·         Member of professional body and in good standing
·         At least 5 years’ experience with a minimum of 2 years in managerial supervisory position.

Managing Director
Job type: full time
Terms: three (3) years renewable contract upon satisfactory performance
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Managing Director is the principal officer of the company and is responsible for the day to day operations of the company.
Responsibilities
·         Developing for approval of the Board, strategic and business plans, including annual work plans, budgets, tariffs and performance targets
·         Ensuring effective implementation of company strategic plans
·         Ensuring safe custody and management of company’s assets
·         Providing strategic leadership and direction, including the management and development of human resource in the company.
·         Planning, coordinating and implementing all the activities of the company in line with the policies and directives approved by the Board of Directors, in line with the company’s vision, mission and core values to ensure continuous improvement in service delivery.
·         Strengthen the company’s internal control mechanisms
·         Grow and strengthen the company sustainability
·         Ensuring proper management, operational efficiency and corporate reporting requirement of the Company
·         Promoting the company’s image and developing a good working relationships with all stakeholders and partners
·         Ensuring compliance with Government policies and regulations
·         Developing and maintaining conducive working environment for attracting , retaining and motivating employees
·         Fostering a corporate culture that promotes best ethical practices and good corporate citizenship
·         Attending to personnel matters including development and maintenances of organizational structures, appointment’s, welfare, training, industrial relations and effective management of succession plans

·         Effective day to day management and ensuring continuous development of the capacity and competence of the company’s staff
·         Ensuring effective communication between the management and the Board of Directors as well as between different levels of management
·         Anticipating technological and other important developments and /or potential risks and formulating relevant policies thereto for approval by the Board of Directors
·         Acting as the secretary to the Board
·         Acting as the principal spokesperson of the company
·         Liaison officer with all stakeholders
·         Ensuring compliance with Service Provision Agreement (SPA)/ License
·         Any other responsibilities as may be necessary to achieve the company objectives
Qualifications
·         A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Water Engineering, Business related Field, Environmental Science or a related water science field from a recognised University OR a degree in Economics, Commerce or equivalent plus training in business management
·         Registered with a professional body
·         Either a minimum of 8 years’ experience in water and sewerage development, management and operations, 5 of which must have been in a senior management position OR a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an executive role within a large service delivery organisation
·         Aged between 35-54 years
·         A sound understanding of the reforms taking place in the water sector in Kenya
·         Good unblemished record in management, high level of integrity, results oriented, managerial and administrative skills backed by a demonstrable track record
·         Master’s degree in a business/management related field is an added advantage

·         Strong management and organisation skills
·         Proven people management skill
