The County Government of Kisii
invites applications from suitable and qualified Kenyan Citizens to fill the
following positions: —
Position: Chairperson,
County Public Service Board
No of Posts: 1 (One)
Terms of Engagement: 6 (Six) Year Non — renewable contract
Remuneration: As Prescribed by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission.
Requirements for Appointments:
¡. Be a Kenyan Citizen
ii. Be a holder of a first degree
from a University recognized ¡n Kenya (A Master’s degree or higher
qualification will be an added advantage).
¡ii. Have a knowledge and working
experience of not less than ten (10) years in Administration and management.
iv. Be a professional who
demonstrates absence of breach of the relevant professional code of conduct
v. Not a public or state officer
vi. Understand the diversity with the
County
vii. Be capable of working under
pressure to meet strict deadlines
viii. Be a visionary and strategic
thinker
ix. Be committed to be part of a team
that will enable the County Government achieve her vision.
x. Satisfy the requirement of Chapter
6 of the Constitution of Kenya on leadership and integrity
xi. Have thorough knowledge of the
structural, legislative and regulatory framework of the public service.
Duties and Responsibilities
i. Chair meetings of the board
ii. Guide the Board in Exercising
disciplinary control over and removal of persons holing or acting in those
offices as provided for under this part.
iii. Prepare regular reports for
submissions to the county assembly on the execution of the functions of the
board.
iv. Promote the County Public Service
values and principles referred to in articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of
Kenya 2010
vi. Advice the County Government on
human resource management and development.
vii. Advice the County Government on
implementation and monitoring of the national performance management system in
the county.
viii. Make recommendation to the
salaries and remuneration commission on behalf of the county government on the
remuneration, pension and gratuities for county public service employees.
