Sports Kenya is a State Corporation established by the Sports Act, 2013 with the mandate to establish, manage, develop and maintain sports facilities, promote, coordinate and implement grassroots, national and international sports programs in Kenya among other functions.
The organization is seeking to recruit highly competent, proactive and self-driven persons to fill the following position;
Responsibilities
An Officer at this level will be responsible to the Accountant I on all matters that relate to Finance and Accounts.
·         Prepare and verify of vouchers in accordance with the laid down rules and regulations;
·         Primary data entry and routine accounting work such as balancing of cashbooks, imprest and advances ledgers etc

·         Safe custody of records and assets under him/her;
·         Prepare of final accounts and statements;
·         Provide timely and proper bank reconciliation;
·         Receive duly processed payments and receipt vouchers;
·         Write cheques and post payments and receipt vouchers in the cash books;
·         Carry out reconciliation and balance cash books on daily basis;
·         Carry out withdrawal cash for office use and ensuring safety of the same at all times;
·         Receipt of all money due and payable to the organization;
·         Provide extract and cash liquidity analysis; and
·         Any other duties that may from time to time be assigned.
Qualifications
·         Be in possession of a pass in Part III of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examination or it’s recognized equivalent qualifications.
OR
·         Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting or Finance option), Business Administration (Accounting option) from a recognized Institution or any other relevant equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
·         Be proficient in computer applications;
·         Be a team player, with good analytical and interpersonal skills; and
·         A person of good integrity committed to producing results.

Internal Auditor (50-64K)

Job Purpose
An Officer at this level will be responsible to the internal Auditor I on all matters that relate to financial control and regulation of SK management.
Responsibilities
·         Interpret financial policies for sound auditing principles/practices and control;
·         Prepare audit programs and plans;
·         Carry out Internal Auditors works;
·         Implement systems in accordance with International Auditing Standards;
·         Carry out audit checks;
·         Verify payments to enhance validity and accuracy;
·         Issue primary audit reports and raise queries and observations;
·         Carry out review of accounting, financial and budgetary systems;
·         Implement and audit work programmes in line with set targets and annual work plans; and
·         Any other duties that may from time to time be assigned.
Qualifications
·         Be in possession of Part III of CPA Examination or its recognized equivalent from a recognized Institution;
OR
·         Be in possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting or Finance option), Business Administration (Accounting option) from a recognized Institution or any other equivalent relevant qualifications from a recognized Institution;
·         Be proficient in computer applications;
·         Be of integrity with commitment to producing results; and
·         Be a team player with good interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.

HR & Administration Assistant (43-56K)

Basic Salary 43,770 – 56,070

An officer at this level will be deployed into any of the following Sections; Registry, Human Resources, Administration within Human Resources and Administration Division to handle day to day
Responsibilities
·         Provide registry services to various sections/units;
·         Ensure that file covers are well maintained;
·         Handle pending correspondence and bring-ups are checked and appropriate action taken;
·         Ensure security of information/files in the registry;
·         Initiate appraisal and disposal of files/documents in liaison with National Archives and Documentation Services;
·         Oversee distributions files for action to various offices;
·         Provide administrative work and management of the office;
·         Maintain office/human resources files;
·         Ensure security of office records, documents and equipment;
·         Give guidance and supervise clerical/messengerial staff; and
·         Any other duties that may from time to time be assigned.
Qualifications
·         Have at least a degree in any of the following: Records/Information Management, Information/Library Science, human resources or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
·         Be a results-oriented team player;
·         Have good interpersonal and communication skills;
·         Be proficient in computer applications

Business Development Officer (43-56K)

Remuneration:
Basic Salary 43,770 – 56.070
House allowance 28,000
Commuter allowance 8,000
Job Purpose
An officer at this level will be deployed as Marketing or sales and Reservation Officer III report to the Senior Marketing or sales and Reservation Officer II on the day to day marketing and sales operations units.
Responsibilities
·         Carry out marketing / sales activities towards achieving agreed business targets;
·         Maintain and develop new customers in line with the agreed sales strategy;
·         Make reports on market trends and competitor activities based on well researched information;
·         Attend to external customer and internal meetings with other Board’s functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development;
·         Follow up sales enquiries using appropriate methods; and
·         Any other duties that may from time to time be assigned.
Qualifications
·         Be in possession of a degree in sales and marketing, Business management or equivalent from a recognized institution;
·         Proficiency in computer applications;
·         Possess good interpersonal and communication skills;
·         Be a results-oriented team player; and
·         Possess good customer relations management skills.
