Internal Auditor

NCPD 6
The National Council for Population and Development is a Semi-Autonomous Government Agency in the Treasury and Ministry of Planning. The Council seeks to fill the following vacant positions.
The job holder will report to the Chief Internal Auditor

Job Purpose
The job holder will be responsible for auditing work of limited scope and complexity by reviewing processes, policies, procedures and highlighting areas of weakness, risk implication and offering recommendations on how to improve internal controls.
Responsibilities
·         Collect data for all audit assignments
·         Verify and analyze data before reports are drafted.
·         Review previous recommendations for any assignment.
·         Discuss the draft report with the Chief Internal Auditor.
·         Participate in special assignments.
·         Assist in developing audit manual, detailing audit procedures and standards
·         Follow up on adopted audit recommendations.
Qualifications
·         Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Finance/Accounting options) or its equivalent from a recognized university and passed Certified Public Accountants (CPA) II or Part III of Certified Internal Auditor Exams;
·         Membership to a relevant professional body;
·         At least one (1) year experience in internal audit and;
·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
In addition applicants are required to attach copies of current Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority, Clearance from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Kenya Credit Reference Bureau and Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
Terms of Employment
The successful candidates will be appointed on permanent and pensionable terms.

Driver
Advert No.04/2019:
Grade NCPD 9
The Council seeks to fill one vacant position of a driver.
Responsibilities
·         Driving and keeping assigned vehicle clean;
·         Detecting and reporting faults;
·         Carrying out minor repairs, including oiling and greasing;
·         Maintenance of a work ticket for vehicles assigned to him/her; and,
·         Ensuring safety of the vehicle, goods and passengers on and off the road.
Qualifications
·         Hold Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D+ or its equivalent qualifications;
·         Have clean driving license free from any endorsement;
·         Have adequate knowledge of the Highway Code;
·         Have at least four (4) years driving experience;
·         Possess Occupational Test Grade III for drivers;
·         Provide evidence of compliance to the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution (Clearance from CID, EACC, HELB, CRB and KRA)
·         The applicant MUST be willing to work anywhere in Kenya
