Estate & Administration Officer


JOB GROUP KMC 5 REF: KMC/HRA/EAO/8/5/2019
The Estate and Administration Officer will report to the Human Resource and Administration Manager.
Responsibilities
·         Conducting Inspection of the properties to ensure they are in good condition and order.

·         Preparing periodic property management reports for in house use as well as advising the management accordingly.
·         Responsible for arranging maintenance and repairs to properties; which are to be carried out expeditiously, economically and to an acceptable standard.
·         Ensuring lawful requirements, as well as organization procedures, are followed at all times.
·         Oversee maintenance and repairs
·         Collection and collation of data and information relating to the Estate
·         Timely and accurate billing and service charge collection
·         Prompt response to customer queries/needs.
·         Control of property management related costs.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate shall possess the following:
·         Degree in Real Estate/Facilities Management or any other business related degree/
·         Membership in EARB or ISK is an added advantage;
·         Minimum of 3 years’ experience in real estate with minimum 1 years in property management
·         Certificate in Supervisory Skills course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized institution
·         Satisfy the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010
·         Advanced computer skills.
·         Certificate in Supervisory Skills course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized institution

Security Officer
JOB GROUP KMC 5 REF: KMC/HRA/SO/7/5/2019
Responsibilities
·         Ensuring that the commission’ assets are secured
·         Implementing security policies ‘
·         Preparing work plans and budgets for security requirements;
·         Coordinating security operations with public law enforcement agencies;
·         Developing emergency management and contingency procedures;
·         Identifying, investigating and resolving security breaches;
·         Keeping abreast with emerging security challenges and devising appropriate interventions to ensure the organization security is maintained at all times;
·         Monitoring all surveillance cameras and CCTV remote viewer programs.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate shall possess the following:
·         Degree in any of the following. Criminology, criminology and criminal justice, criminology and fraud management, criminology and security management; or equivalent from a recognized university.
·         Undergone a four (4) weeks approved security course at CID training school or an approved security course from the military or its equivalent
·         Served in the forces for a period five (5) years
·         Proven experience in the use of CCTV and surveillance cameras in the security function.
·         A first aid certificate from recognized institution;
·         Satisfy the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.

Chief Grader
JOB GROUP KMC 5 REF: KMC/HRA/CG/6/5/2019
Responsibilities
·         Ensure consistency in grading in accordance with regulations.
·         Consider and determine all appeals made to him/her under regulations.
·         Identify grading problems and recommend remedial action.
·         Work together with Production superintendents, veterinary office and livestock department to ensure attainment of departmental targets
·         Participate in continuous review of the Standard Operating Procedures and production Work Instructions
·         Supervise the work of graders.
·         Submit daily grading reports
Qualifications
The ideal candidate shall possess the following:
·         Bachelor’s degree in Food Science/ Veterinary/ Animal health courses
·         Diploma in meat technology or any other higher level from a recognized institution
·         Certificate in meat inspection and grading from recognized institutions
·         Five (5) years’ experience in meat grading
·         Conversant with Grading Regulations
·         Conversant with hygiene requirements in meat processing.

·         Be able to instruct ,supervise and advise on all slaughterhouse operations

·         Able to control hygiene in slaughterhouse, meat processing establishments and meat transport containers and activities.
·         Able to facilitate local and international trade of animals and meat products.

Office Administrator

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall day-to-day management/administration of the office, managing and maintain the office diary and schedule of appointments and providing secretarial services.
Responsibilities
·         Responsible for the overall day to day management/administration of the office of the managing commissioner
·         Booking the meeting room for meetings and making hospitality arrangements as may be required;
·         Sending out notices for meeting and following up to confirm receipt;
·         Ensuring that the meeting venues are well organized;
·         Managing and maintain the office diary and schedule of appointments for the immediate supervisor;
·         Providing secretarial services for the Managing commissioner;
·         Maintaining records of outgoing letters, correspondences, documents and records; monitor, screen, respond to and distribute incoming communication.
·         Preparing and editing correspondence, communications, presentations and other documents.
·         Organizing international travel as may be required from time to time; and
·         Answer and screen calls directed to the Managing commissioner
Qualifications
The ideal candidate shall possess the following:
·         Bachelor degree in secretarial studies or of Business and Office Management from a recognised institution
·         A Diploma in Secretarial Studies from the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution; or Business Education single Group Certificates in the following subjects: Typewriting III (50 w.p.m.); Shorthand III (120 w.p.m.); Business English III; Commerce II; Office Practice II; Office Management III Secretarial Duties II,
·         Certificate in Secretarial Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks
·         Must have a minimum of three years (3) experience in similar position.
·         Certificate in Supervisory Skills course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized institution
·         Satisfy the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.

Branch Manager

KMC 4 JOB GROUP KMC 4 REF: KMC/HRA/BM/4/5/2019
The Branch Manager will be in Charge of Kibarani, Mombasa Branch.
Responsibilities
·         Oversee the production process the Branch to ensure that all international quality hygiene standards are met.
·         Co-ordinate all maintenance works at the factories and storage facilities to ensure work efficiency and their optimal use.
·         Supervise all financial operations in the Branch
·         Liaise with all relevant Heads of Departments at the Head Office for purposes of applying same policies and procedures as appropriate.
·         Develop and recommend an appropriate annual budget for branch operations.
·         In consultation with Production Manager diversify processing of meat product in accordance with market demand dynamics
·         Develop a sustainable production strategy in line with the business set objectives
·         Advice management on key aspects related to production.
·         Ensuring availability and control of livestock inflow to meet demand cycles
·         Research and develop initiatives to improve production standards.
·         Implement Food Safety System and ensure all quality aspects of production are adhered to.
·         Prepare periodic reports to management for decision making
·         Monitor Branch’s progress in meeting set targets.
·         Prepare, implement and control the Branch budget
Qualifications
·         Degree in Food Science and Technology or its equivalent from a recognized institution
·         Five (5) years’ experience in Senior Management in food processing industry
·         Master’s degree is added advantage
·         Relevant professional qualification
·         Certificate in Senior Management Course lasting not less than four(4) weeks from a recognized institution
