Supply Chain Management Assistant


Job Group ‘H’
12 Positions
Responsibilities
·         Issuing and receiving stores;
·         Assisting in stock taking;

·         Reconciliation;
·         Preparation and maintenance of records.
Qualifications
·         Must have a Kenya Certificate Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C-(Minus) with a minimum of C- in Mathematics and English or Kiswahili or its equivalent qualification.
·         A diploma (CIPS) in Supplies Management
·         Served in the grade of Supply Chain Management Assistant IV or in a comparable and relevant position in the Public Service for a minimum, period of three (3) years
·         An advanced certificate in Supply Chain Management from Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies (CIPS) or its approved equivalent from a recognized institution
·         Must be a registered member from Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM)
·         Satisfy the requirement of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 leadership and Integrity.

Deputy Director Supply Chain Management
Job Group’ Q’
Responsibilities
·         Analysing Supply Chain Management structures and systems;
·         Determining and proposing methods and strategies of handling the Supply Chain Management function;
·         Initiating and developing Supply Chain Management policies and performance improvement strategies that are adoptive to the changing environment and technology;
·         Coordinate development of strategic plans for the Directorate of Supply Chain Management.
·         Implementation of the Public Procurement and Disposal Act,2005 and other statutes, rules and regulations and ensuring adherence to the laid down procedures, rules and regulations;
·         Analysing the impact of Supply Chain Management policies, rules and regulations;
·         Advising the Accounting Officer on Supply Chain Management matters.
Qualifications
·         Must have a Kenya Certificate Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C-(Minus) with a minimum of C- in Mathematics and English or Kiswahili or its equivalent qualification.
·         A Diploma in Supplies Management or its approved equivalent from a recognized institution
·         A Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following: – Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Procurement and Supplies Management, Marketing or their equivalent qualification.
·         A Master’s degree in any of the following: – Procurement and Supply Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Logistics and Supply Chain Management or any relevant field as an added advantage
·         Must have served in the grade of Assistant Director Supply Chain Management Job Group “P” or in an equivalent and relevant position in the Public Service for a minimum period of three (3) years;
·         Must be a registered member from Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM)
·         Must have served in the grade of Principal Supply Chain Management officer or in a Comparable relevant position in the Public Service for a minimum period of five (5) years.
·         Satisfy the requirement of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 leadership and Integrity.

Director Supply Chain Management
Job Group ‘R’
Responsibilities
·         Ensuring adherence to the laid down procedures, rules and regulations;
·         Analysing the impact of Supply Chain Management policies, rules and regulations;
·         Advising the Accounting Officers on Supply Chain Management standards;
·         Assisting in procurement planning and budget preparation;
·         Advising departments on Supply Chain Management matters and interpreting of other laws and statutes that impact on Supply Chain Management matters.
Qualifications
·         Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) minimum grade of C- and above
·         A Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following: – Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Procurement and Supplies Management, Marketing or their equivalent qualification.
·         A Master’s degree in any of the following: – Procurement and Supply Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Logistics and Supply Chain Management or any relevant field as an added advantage
·         Must have served in the grade of Deputy Director Supply Chain Management Job Group “Q” or in an equivalent and relevant position in the Public Service for a minimum period of three (3) years;

·         Must be a registered member KISM
·         Must have served in the grade of Deputy Director Supply Chain Management Services or in a Comparable relevant position in the Public Service for a minimum period of ten (10) years.
·         Must have attended a Senior Management Course(SMC) and Strategic Leadership And Development Programme(SLDP)from Kenya School of Government.
·         Satisfy the requirement of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 leadership and Integrity.

ICT Officers
Job Group ‘H’
7 Positions
Responsibilities
·         Writing and testing simple computer programs according to instructions and specifications;
·         Assisting in the implementation of the computer systems;
·         Providing user support and training of users;
·         Repairs and maintenance of ICT equipment and associated peripherals;
·         Monitoring the performance of ICT equipment and reporting any faults for further action.
Qualifications
·          Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade C plain with at least a C- in Mathematics and English/Kiswahili or its approved equivalent.
·         Diploma in any of the following fields: – Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
·         Satisfy the requirement of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 leadership and Integrity

Deputy Director ICT
Job Group ‘Q’
Responsibilities
·         Assist the Director in the development and management of Information Technology policies and programmes;
·         Drawing up Information Technology plans for implementation;
·         Coordinating of all Information Technology Programme;
·         Overseeing the preparation and utilization of the departments’ budget;
·         Coordinating staff matters.
Qualifications
·          Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade C, with at least a C- in Mathematics and English/Kiswahili or its approved equivalent.
·         A Master’s degree in Computer Science or any other ICT related discipline.
·         Possess a Strategic Leadership Development Programme.
·         Must have served in the grade of Assistant Director of Information Communication Technology Job Group “P” or in an equivalent and relevant position in the Public Service for a minimum period of three (3) years;
·         Satisfy the requirement of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 leadership and Integrity.
