Corporate Fleet & Government Sales Executive


Sheer Logic Management Consultants is seeking to engage a dynamic individual for Corporate Fleet and Government Sales Executive Position for one of our clients. Main Purpose of the Job
Directly responsible to the Sales Manager

·         To maximise vehicle sales to fleet users
·         To keep all existing and potential customers aware of new models and benefits offered by dealership’s range of cars and commercial vehicles
·         To maintain records showing times, periods or frequencies of purchase of fleet replacements

Objectives & Key Tasks
Improved Profitability
·         To ensure budget and sales objectives are met by continual daily/weekly/monthly examination of the accounts to allow the necessary improvements and corrective actions to be taken where variations occur
·         To introduce and follow-up corporate fleet and government user, leasing/contract hire prospects per month/year
·         To achieve target increase in sales over previous year
·         With Sales Manager’s approval assist in sale of vehicles taken out of service by corporate fleet users
·         To consult Sales Manager with reference to ordering stock for customers’ requirements
New Accounts
·         To ensure that new business is continually sought and prospecting procedures are always maintained
·         To refer to Sales Manager any enquiries outside pricing structure
Existing Customer Accounts
·         To ensure all new offers and model details are forwarded to existing customers with a view to future repeat business
Customer Service and Satisfaction
·         To improve the quality of customer service and retention by enhanced facilities, improved technical skills and current marketing methods
·         To ensure pre-delivery inspections and necessary repairs carried out before vehicle delivery
·         To ensure vehicle handovers take place successfully to customers’ satisfaction
·         To visit customers periodically (schedule) to ensure relationships maintained at satisfactory level
·         To deal promptly with any queries or complaints
Cost Control
·         To maintain effective control of expenses in line with budget objectives
·         To examine daily/weekly/monthly financial information to ensure all outstanding debts have been collected
Liaison with Suppliers
·         To keep in close touch with the manufacturer/distributor so as to be aware of all discounts and sales incentives
Administration
·         To ensure all clerical functions within the Department are carried out effectively
·         To progress customer orders from receipt to vehicle despatch
·         To maintain close liaison with the Customer
·         To maintain close liaison with the Vehicle Preparation Supervisor, Vehicle Sales Accountant and Sales Administration Supervisor
·         To update all records on receipt of manufacturers’ information
·         To ensure all documentation, records, warranty matters etc. are expeditiously and correctly dealt with.

Qualifications

·         Ensure all outstanding debts are collected expeditiously
·         To ensure all Service Department invoices are submitted to customers on collection of vehicles
·         Establish and monitor all training requirements and costs to provide satisfactory levels of skill, job satisfaction and cost-effective development of key personnel
Staff
·         To establish the levels of staff required to achieve the established budgets
·         Interview, select, hire and train Service Department staff
·         Select and appoint requisite apprentices
·         Ensure that training standards are fully maintained so that future manpower requirements are covered
·         In consultation with training personnel establish training needs, plan programme and maintain records of training. Ensure up-to-date and accurate documentation to allow grant redemption

Administration
·         Ensure all clerical functions within the Service Department are carried out in accordance with policies (warranty claims, customer follow-up, workshop loading, estimating, invoicing, daily operating controls)
·         Review with Aftersales General Manager all departmental activities and reporting systems
·         Establish adequate safety and security procedures to protect property and company personnel
·         Check all workshop equipment for condition and accuracy of diagnosis
·         Administer warranty policy in the best interests of dealership, manufacturer and customer
·         Ensure adequate maintenance of the Service Department
·         Ensure adequate maintenance of tools, equipment and other materials in the Service Department
Communications
·         Maintain effective liaison with all other departmental managers
·         Advise Aftersales General Manager on all service-related matters
