BSML seeks to recruit suitable a
professional for the following open position:
Transport Supervisor
Reporting to Transport Manager
Responsibilities
·
Overall in charge of Transport
Operation and Fleet Management
·
Oversee the entire transport staff
·
Responsible for Performance
monitoring for operations and administrative adherence of ensuring that the
transport staff complies with traffic regulations and safety protocol.
·
Conducting safety inspections and
promoting the importance of quality control and safety compliance among
individual staff members.
·
Prepares reports for evaluation of
fleet maintenance effectiveness and efficiency
·
Organize effective transportation of
cane from fields to the Weighbridge
·
Report on all defects of the fleet to
both Management and workshop incharge
·
Control effective fuel management
consumption mileage wise
·
Report all transport trends
·
Coordinate and Monitor sugarcane
Field Haulage Tractors operations
Requirements
·
A Diploma in Logistics / Agricultural
Engineering or transport management or equivalent
·
Valid Motor Bicycle riding license
·
At least three (3) years experience
in running transport fleet
·
Ability to organize, dispatch and identify
tractor fleet issues .
·
Experience in a sugar industry will
be an added advantage
Senior Foreman
Reporting
to the Workshop Manager
Responsibilities
·
Ensuring the smooth and efficient
processing of parts orders, to support the needs and requirements of the
workshop.
·
Technical support to the Transport
&Agriculture department
·
Supervising a team of mechanics and
workshop support staff
Requirements
·
Degree / Diploma in Automotive /
Agricultural Engineering or or equivalent from a recognized institution
·
Must have previous Administration
experience and knowledge of automotive parts
·
Must be flexible with their work
approach and hands on
·
At least three (3) years experience
in the field
·
Previous experience in Agricultural
sector will be an added advantage
·
Must be Computer literate
Internal Auditor
Reporting
to the Finance Manager
Responsibilities
·
Prepare annual audit schedules and
programs, perform risk exposure assessments and provide recommendations to
minimize the risks and safeguards the Company assets.
·
Carry out system audits and appraise
the application and adequacy of accounting, financial, procurement and other
controls.
·
Review the work of auditor assistants
for quality and completeness, taking key risks into consideration.
·
Prepare and submit audit reports
including recommendations to management
·
Follow up on recommendations to
ensure they are implemented.
Persons
Specification
·
A degree in Accounting, Business
Administration or Finance from a recognized University.
·
A qualified accountant (CPA Finalist
/ ACCA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
·
At least three (3) years’ experience
in a similar position, preferably in a Manufacturing or Audit firm.
·
Good analytical, interpersonal and
problem solving skills.
·
Experience in using Computer Assisted
Audit Techniques (CAATs).
·
Possession of CISA qualifications an
added advantage Carrying out physical stock count on a sample and surprise
basis across the division and, data validation review and analysis for accuracy
and completeness.
·
Prepare and document audit paperwork
in accordance with standards and requirements.
·
Implementing best practices in audit
& respective areas of work
·
Implementing product quality,
customer & Service Excellence and Change initiatives to achieve desired
business plans and culture
·
Any other responsibility assigned by
the Head of Internal Audit ( HIA)
Audit Assistants
Reporting
to the Internal Auditor
Responsibilities
·
Carrying out physical stock count on
a sample and surprise basis across the factory and, data validation review and

in accordance with standards and requirements.
·

Monitor seed cane supply against
debit notes issued to BSML contracted farmers
Requirements
·
A degree in Bsc Agribusiness
Management or equivalent from a recognized University.
·
A qualified accountant (CPA Finalist
/ ACCA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
·
At least three (2) years’ experience
in a similar position, preferably in a Agricultural/Manufacturing or Audit
firm.
·
Good analytical, interpersonal and
problem solving skills.
·
Experience in using Computer Assisted
Audit Techniques (CAATs).
