Opportunity to Serve
BTL is a Christian faith-based organisation, involved in Language Development, Bible Translation, Literacy and Community Development among minority languages of Kenya, is seeking to recruit highly motivated born again Christian with a good Christian standing, demonstrated spiritual maturity, integrity and a calling to serve to fill the position below.
Cashier
The Cashier is responsible for supporting the Finance Department to ensure proper cash, inventory and record management

Key Responsibilities:
1. Processing payments
2. Inventory management
3. Cash and inventory reconciliations
4. Filling and management of finance department documents
5. Banking
6. Filling monthly returns
7. Any other clerical duties in the finance and administration department
Qualification and Experience:
1. CPA 1 or its equivalent
2. A diploma in accounting or business management will be an added advantage

Mother Tongue Education Officer
The MTE Officer shall be responsible for the Planning, Advocacy, Implementation and Administration of the Programme in Tana River County. The officer shall work closely with the Communities, Schools, County education Office and other Education Stakeholders in order to ensure the success of the programme.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Planning MTE activities
2. Advocacy
3. Proper coordination of all the programme activities.
4. Implementation of the MTE programme

5. Report writing
6. Monitoring and evaluation of the programme
Qualification and Experience:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant degree in Social Sciences
2. Conversant with Kenyan Education Policy and Curriculum
3. At least two years’ experience in the Education Sector or Community Development
4. Computer Literate and good understanding of Desktop publishing
5. Excellent Communication and Analytical skills
6. Excellent report writing and documentation skills
7. Community mobilization and partnership development skills
8. The applicant should be proficient in the Pokomo languages
9. Should have a valid driving license and ability to ride a motor cycle
10. A team player who is honest and of high integrity and respect within the community
