Tutor – Higher Diploma Peri – Operative
Nursing
Based at the Nairobi Women’s Hospital
College and reporting to the Head of Department –School of Nursing, this
position is responsible for facilitating clinical teaching and improving
nursing quality in line with College’s mission, vision, goals and core values.
Applicants must be in possession of a
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a higher national diploma or Masters in
peri-operative theatre nursing or its equivalent. The successful candidate
should have at least 3 years relevant work experience in a hospital setting of
which 1 year must be in a similar position.
Specialized Nurses – (Theatre)
Reporting to the Section in
Charge-Theatre, this position is responsible for provision of high quality
peri-operative nursing care within in line with Hospital policies and
processes. In addition, this position is responsible for mentorship of nurses
to deliver excellent customer service and quality nursing care.
Applicants must be in possession of a
nursing qualification at Diploma or Degree level and Higher National Diploma in
Peri-operative nursing with valid certification in BLS and ACLS plus a minimum
of 3 years post-registration working experience in a busy hospital setting.
Section In Charge – HDU
(2 Positions)
Reporting to the Nursing Services in
Charge, this position is responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating
the activities in the ward to ensure high standard of nursing care in line with
hospital policies and procedures. This position is open at our Ongata Rongai
and Nakuru Branches.
Applicants must be in possession of a
Diploma (KRN or KRCHN) or Degree in Nursing, and must have a valid license from
the NCK. Higher Diploma in Critical Care Nursing will be an added advantage.
In addition, this position requires
more than 1 year and up to 3 years’ experience in managing a busy HDU unit with
active knowledge and experience in Quality Assurance, People Management and
Customer service.
Laboratory Technologists
Reporting to the Laboratory Services
in Charge, this position will be responsible for collecting and testing of
patient specimens and generating accurate reports to support treatment.
Applicants must be in possession of a
Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences and a valid license with the KMLTTB, with
minimum 1 year post qualification experience of in a busy hospital environment.
Head Cook
1 Position
Based at the Hurlingham Branch and
reporting to the Hotel Services Supervisor, this position is responsible for
planning and overseeing production activities in the Central Kitchen while
delivering quality, timely and cost effective meals.
Applicants must be in possession of a
Diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent from a recognized institution. The
position requires active knowledge and experience in People Management and
Customer Service.
The successful candidate must have 1
to 3 years’ experience in a similar position responsible for production in a
busy kitchen.
