Legal Clerk

o    Assist in receiving sermons for litigation matters and opening court files;
o    Assist in managing court diaries and files;
o    Assist in managing bring ups on all legal matters;
o    Assist in drafting of court pleadings;
o    Assist in responding to correspondences and issues arising out of court matters;
o    Open files for new cases and keep an up to date record of all court cases;

o    Develop and maintain the filing registry for the Directorate;
o    Assist in managing and updating the court diary;
o    Assist in updating the record on laws of Kenya;
o    Assist the corporation secretary in preparing board papers including photocopying binding and circulation;
o    Assist in attending to claimants and external advocates queries;
o    Following up payments of judgments award, claimant lawyers and claimant from finance Directorates;

o    Ensure that insurance policies and performance bonds for contractors are always up to date; and
o    To inform contractors to renew performance bonds and insurance.
Qualifications
o    Bachelor’s Degree in Law (L LB ) and Postgraduate diploma in Law;
o    Registered with relevant professional Board;
o    IT proficiency;

HR Office


o    Monitoring and coordinating implementation of human resource management policies, rules and regulations;
o    Developing and institutionalizing performance appraisal process;
o    Maintaining professional human resource management standards;
o    Advising on career development and review of Career Progression Guidelines;
o    Advising on staff disciplinary process;
o    Coordinating industrial relations and staff welfare;
o    Administration of payroll and staff complement;
o    Coordinating training and development of Staff;
o    Appointment, Deployment/transfer of staff;
o    Coordinating staff medical Scheme and Pension;
o    Overseeing budgeting, allocation and optimal utilization of training resources and opportunities;
o    Reviewing of terms and conditions of service and providing employees counselling services;
o    Ensuring compliance with all the statutory and regulatory requirements relating to Human Resource and Administration; and
o    Managing and developing staff.
Qualifications
o    Have served in the grade of Senior Human Resource Management Officer for a minimum period of three (3) years;
o    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or any other social science
o    Post Graduate Diploma in human resource management
o    Have Certificate in Strategic Leadership lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution
o    Have full membership of a professional body in the Human Resource field;
o    Have demonstrated outstanding professional competence as reflected in work performance and results; and
o    Meets the requirements of chapter six of the constitution.

Construction Engineer (2 Posts)

o    Participate in development of the Department’s Work plan and budget;
o    Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sectional reports;
o    Participate in the implementation of the performance management system in the section;
o    Identify renewable energy projects including those sponsored by development partners;
o    Design of projects;
o    Prepare tenders documents;
o    Evaluate tenders and presentation to tender committee;
o    Participate in factory acceptance test, supervision and commissioning;
o    Prepare and review materials specifications;
o    Supervise the construction of Projects;
o    Ensure all contracts awarded in the department are promptly issued to the various contractors;
o    Participate in preparation of pre-feasibility study report, which is presented to management for approval of a full feasibility study;
o    Preparation of department monthly performance reports;
o    Development of budget and preparation of service purchase;
Qualifications
o    Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy;
o    Registered with Engineers Board of Kenya as Registered Engineer;
o    Member of the Institute of Engineers of Kenya;

o    At least 7 years of relevant work experience with at least 4 years of supervisory experience;
o    Attended a management course lasting not less than four weeks;

Accountant

o    Processing payment vouchers;
o    Examining payment vouchers;
o    Preparing financial management reports;
o    Complying with financial processes and procedures;
o    Complying with regulations pertaining to financial management and controls;
o    Ensuring projects overheads remittances are done;
o    Undertaking daily banking;
o    Carrying out data analysis to support preparation of accounting reports;
o    Balancing cashbooks on daily basis and providing cash liquidity analysis;
o    Preparing bank reconciliations and maintaining general ledger accounts;
o    Maintaining of customers and suppliers records for the purpose of payment; Handling petty cash;
o    Maintaining all the funds and cash records;
o    Writing cheques and posting payments and receipt vouchers in the cashbooks; and
o    Preparing withholding and Value Added Tax returns.
Qualifications
o    Have served in the grade of Accountant for a minimum period of three (3) years;
o    Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Commerce (Accounting option); Commerce (Finance option); Business Administration (Accounting option) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
o    Be Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
o    Be proficient in accounting packages;
o    Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution;
o    Attended a supervisory course lasting not less than four weeks;
o    Have shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results;
o    Meets the provision of chapter six of the constitution.

Principal Supply Chain Management Officer
REA 4 (1 Post)
The Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation, (formerly, the Rural Electrification Corporation ) a state corporation established under the Energy Act, 2019, is mandated to enhance provision of electricity in the rural areas of the country as well as develop, manage and promote the use of renewable energy in Kenya.
Responsibilities
o    Assist in providing secretariat services to the Disposal Committee;
o    Coordinating periodic stock taking, control, audit and interpreting the reports;
o    Consolidating periodic stores returns;
o    Maintaining an up-to-date database of the Board’s assets;
o    Coordinating preparation and management of inventory control register;
o    Implementing inventory and assets management techniques and approaches;
o    Developing and overseeing implementation of asset management systems;
o    Monitoring implementation of asset acquisition and disposal plans;
o    Maintaining assets register, transfer and valuation;
o    Reviewing of Supply Chain Manual;
o    Ensuring proper maintenance of an up-to-date assets database; and
o    Complying with Procurement Act.
Qualifications
o    Served in the grade of Senior Supply Chain Management Officer for a minimum period of three (3) years;
o    Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Procurement and Supply Chain Management; Purchasing and Supplies Management; Supply Chain Management; Procurement and Contract Management; Logistics and Supply Chain Management; Procurement and Logistics Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
o    Master’s degree relevant field;
o    Have Certificate in Management Course lasting not less than three (3) weeks from a recognized institution;
o    Have Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution;
o    Have full membership to a professional body; and
o    Have demonstrated outstanding professional competence in supply chain management work;
o    Demonstrate values of governance as provided in the Constitution of Kenya;
o    Meets the provisions of chapter six of the Constitution.
