Payables Accountant

Our client in the FMCG Industry is looking to hire a Payables Accountant. He/she will be tasked with the day-to-day management of all payment cycle activities in a timely and efficient manner by providing financial, administrative and clerical support to the organization.
Responsibilities
o    Writing and posting cheques in the system while ensuring correctness of the information.

o    To maintain Petty cash that is adequate for the petty expenses and ensures timely cash reimbursement
o    Issuing Purchase Orders on approved quotations including stock purchases
o    Maintenance of PO register, follow up on undelivered and problem orders to ensure that the goods and services are adequately delivered
o    To escalate any monthly outstanding orders so that further action can be taken by the management.
o    Authenticate quotations for main services and goods and also maintaining a quotations file for future records.
o    Reconciling supplier accounts for any reconciling items/transactions to get the correct and updated statement
o    Receipt of suppliers bills, verification and request for approval. Posting and filing the approved invoice voucher in outstanding/unpaid invoice file.
o    Produce costing for department utilities e.g. fuel, spares, stationeries etc.
o    Analyze all company costs Comparing with the budget costs and escalating to the management for course of further action.
o    Monitoring the SLA and ensuring they are renewed on time after they expire.
o    Receipt of stocks in the sage system to ensure that the stock ledger reconcile with the physically received goods.
o    Be involved in production of financial reports, P&L, Balance sheet and management reports
o    Closing of GITs with all the costs and produce the GIT ledger for Approval on monthly basis and escalate delays of the invoices from the supplier
o    Prepare Wages summary and ensure payment of the same to avoid delays.
o    Ensure back up of that all the data done on timely basis to avoid loss of any data.
o    Participate in Internal and External Audit in producing the required data and support documents.
o    GIT account – monitoring stock in transit. Making the relevant entries on receipt of invoices and payment on purchase, clearing and receipt of goods to warehouse. Closing GIT on arrival of stock to warehouse
o    Monitoring actual cost vs budget and making adjustment in the books on receipt of full consignment to warehouse
o    Manage GIT supplier accounts i.e. Product supplier, clearing and forwarding agents and external warehousing.
o    Bank agent for collection of cash, statements and any other correspondence
o    Participate in Internal and External Audit
o    Involved in production of financial reports
o    Any other assignment by the management
Qualifications
o    University Degree in Bcom (Finance/Accounting)

Purchaser (Fruits and Vegetables)

Our client in the export and import of fresh fruits and vegetables seeks to hire a Purchaser. S/he will look for the best combination of quality, price, payment terms and delivery speed & negotiate contracts and policies with suppliers. S/he will also monitor deliveries to ensure compliance with contracts.
Salary: 32K- 35K
Responsibilities
o    Develop purchasing strategies and identify buying trends to keep the business profitable
o    Conduct self-guided research to become familiar with what products are available as well as their costs and benefits
o    Search available products to find the best combination of quality, price, and delivery
o    Negotiate policies and contracts with various suppliers
o    Manage deliveries to confirm compliance with contracts
o    Monitor stock levels and verify purchase requisitions
o    Identify damaged or defective goods and work out an alternative solution with the supplier

Packaging Officer ( Fruits & Vegetables)

Our client in the export and import of fresh fruits and vegetables seeks to hire a packaging officer. S/he will be tasked with analyzing and determining all standards for packaging lines and ensure compliance to all schedule for processes and develop and maintain all packing orders effectively.
Responsibilities
o    Monitor and recommend improvements in processes to increase efficiency of packaging department and monitor inventory for warehouse and maintain records of all physical transactions and prepare documents for same.
o    Maintain and ensure compliance to packaging schedule and assign specific tasks to all employees and monitor all packing equipment’s and supplies.
o    Coordinate with quality and warehouse departments to monitor everyday activities of units and ensure efficient working of both manufacturing and packaging department and ensure continuous improvement in same.
o    Manage all work according to packing schedule and maintain an inventory of materials and completion of all projects with required timeframe.
o    Develop team environment in department and resolve all packing issues in coordination with quality department.

Accountant

Our client in the export and import of fresh fruits and vegetables seeks to hire a competent candidate to fill the post of an Accountant. S/he will be responsible for the administration of management accounts, organizational budgeting and the administration of accounting processes.
Salary: 35k 
Responsibilities
o    Preparation of budgets and forecasts
o    Preparation of tax computations and statutory returns
o    Assist with analysis of monthly financial reports and report on variances

Assistant Farm Manager (Fruits & Vegetables )

Our client in the export and import of fresh fruits and vegetables seeks to hire an Assistant Farm Manager with a good understanding of the modern farming methods. S/he will be tasked with implementing strategies for maximum yield, organize farm administration, work machinery and manage any associated businesses and staff.
Responsibilities
o    Plan finances and production to maintain farm progress against budget parameters
o    undertake practical activities, such as driving tractors, operating machinery, feeding livestock or spraying fields
o    Market the farm’s products and Confers with purchasers and arranges for sale of crops.
o    Buy supplies, such as fertilizer and seeds
o    Arrange the maintenance and repair of farm buildings, machinery and equipment

Quality Controller (Fruits & Vegetables)

Our client in the export and import of fresh fruits and vegetables seeks to hire a Quality Controller. S/he will be Responsible for inspection on fruits & veggies to ensure that they meet the quality requirements. S/he will implement and monitors procedures, standards and specifications aimed at meeting a company’s food quality goals.
Responsibilities
o    Contributes to development of department mission, strategy, programs, and operating budget
o    Collaborates with key internal customers in order to provide effective and efficient support against project objectives and timelines
o    Review customer feedback and respond to any complaints.
o    Prepare reports on food quality status to relay to owners and upper-level management and keep records of all tests and inspections that have been conducted.
o    Developing and reviewing existing safety and quality policies,
o    Inspecting the workplace for compliance and identifying any areas of concern,
o    Provides support for achieving compliance to company requirements.
o    Selects and manages third-party auditing services to validate supplier compliance. Uses auditing data to identify risks and opportunities for improvement for each supplier.
o    Monitors effectiveness of ongoing training program on in-store safe food handling and sanitation practices.
o    Inspect the food products to ensure they are safe and of a high quality before releasing them to the market.

Qualifications
o    Major in agriculture , food science or closely related course , diploma and above

o    Previous experience in sensory and quality evaluation of Fresh Fruits and Vegetables will be an added advantage
