Head of Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance
Reporting to the Board and the Chief Executive Officer, the role will oversee and review the Banks’ internal control systems, evaluate the level of compliance with set Policies & Procedures, statutory and sector regulations.
The role holder will also be responsible for the Banks’ overall enterprise risk management and compliance framework.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
·         Formulating and implementation of the Risk & Compliance framework & policies.
·         Identify and assess potential risks to the institution’s operations and activities.
·         Review the adequacy of internal controls established to ensure compliance with policies, plans, procedures, business objectives and regulatory requirements.
·         Prepare and implement Internal Audit Plans and programmes
·         Champion Information Systems Audit as well as communication, operating procedures, back up and disaster recovery
·         Safeguarding of Bank assets and ensuring that the liabilities and expenditure are controlled.
·         Contribute to the development of projects, selected according to the risk involved and benefits; by confirming that the company’s methodology is followed and that, in particular, adequate controls are incorporated.
·         Follow up internal and external audit recommendations to make sure that effective remedial action is taken.
·         Continuous monitoring of compliance with internal policies, procedures and guidelines by thorough regular and comprehensive Risk and Control Assessment and testing.
·         Carry out ad hoc investigations and reviews based on audit findings or as requested by the Board and Management.
·         Review the application and effectiveness of risk management procedures and risk assessment methodologies.
·         Check the accuracy and reliability of the information reported to the Management and the Board.
·         Review and oversee implementation of sound financial internal controls systems.
·         Support the Finance Department in preparation of monthly and annual audits and finance reports.
·         Keep track of new trends in the industry and advise management accordingly.
·         Participate in corporate governance processes.
Qualifications
·         Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Business related field from a recognized university and a Masters Degree.
·         Must be CPA (K) or ACCA finalist
·         Must be CISA finalist
·         Must be member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Information System Audit and Control Association (ISACA)
Key Qualities, Competencies & Experience
·         At least eight (8) years experience in Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance; three (3) years of which must have been in a Management position, in a reputable organization
·         Have previous experience in conducting system audits in a highly digitized environment
·         Previous experience with T24 Banking system will be an added advantage
·         Experience in the financial services sector will be an added advantage
·         Excellent report writing and presentation skills
·         In-depth experience in data mining and analysis
·         Excellent at Delivering and owning results
·         Good communication skills
·         Superior ICT skills
·         Strong interpersonal, negotiating and problem solving skills, and customer service orientation
·         Leadership and people development skills
·         Between the age of 35 to 45 years

Assistant Risk & Compliance Manager
Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance, and the job holder will be responsible for championing the execution of the Bank’s enterprise risk management and compliance framework and providing timely and accurate reports to the various stakeholders.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
·         Formulating and implementation of the Risk and Compliance framework and Policies.
·         Monitoring and tracking of Banks’ compliance to regulatory guidelines statutory requirements and internal processes and procedures.
·         Identification and assessment of the compliance risks associated with the bank’s current and proposed future business activities, including new products, new business relationships and processes
·         Continuous monitoring of compliance with internal policies, procedures and guidelines by through regular and comprehensive Risk and Control assessment and testing
·         Providing assurance of the bank’s readiness in case of business interruption/disruption through regular reviews of the unit BCP plans.

·         Responsible for monitoring compliance and reporting for Anti Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism
·         Providing regular training of staff to build on risk management and compliance awareness
·         Reviewing and providing advise on corporate governance management
·         Regular reviewing of transactions to ensure that high risk transactions are identified and appropriately approved.
Qualifications
·         Bachelors’ degree in Accountancy, Finance or Business Administration.
·         Must have acquired professional certification in Accountancy or Auditing
·         Post graduate degree will be an added advantage
·         Proficiency in MS Office suite and previous experience with T24 Banking system will be an added advantage.

·         At least 6 years experience in a Compliance, Risk or Internal Audit Department in a reputable financial institution
·         Keen to detail and sharp analytical skills
·         Excellent report writing skills
·         An excellent and proactive planner with great organization skills
·         Flexible and willing to travel across the country at short notice
·         Good interpersonal and communication skills
·         Between 33 and 40 years of age

Manager – ICT & Digital Banking
Reporting to the Head of ICT & Projects, the role holder will tasked with championing and coordinating the roll out of the digitization strategy in the Bank, in addition to managing a multi-user computing environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
·         Champion the roll out of digital transformation in line with the Banks’ digitization strategy, and map the digital strategy to the Banks’ strategic priorities
·         Partner with the various business units in the launch of Fintech products and services to ensure a maximization of cross-selling opportunities and synergies for SMEP MFB
·         Coordinate the development of new and improved Service Delivery channels and any other additional channels that may be developed, which meet the needs of the bank customers to ensure the bank remains competitive
·         Participates in the design of hardware and software systems to assist in the smooth and efficient flow of information
·         Oversee the development and maintenance and monitoring of communications networks.
·         Perform the technical support function such as database, security, quality and standards.
·         Use knowledge, experience and analytics to craft end to end user experiences that are contemporary, exciting, and efficient by virtue of being digitally enabled
·         Manage all changes to LIVE IT systems and applications and ensure their continued availability and effectiveness.
·         Oversee design, acquisition and delivery of IT training and training material for end-users.
·         Oversee implementation of Disaster Recovery and security Plan and ensure their effectiveness.
Qualifications
·         A Degree in an ICT related field i.e. Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Business & IT
·         Specialized certification in ICT
·         Post graduate degree in business, computer science, marketing etc.

·         At least 6 (six) years in a busy ICT Department at a reputable institution
·         Have previous experience in working with Fintechs in a digitized environment
·         Experience in the financial services sector will be an added advantage
