The Role
While
reporting to Digital Chief Producer, the job holder will be responsible for
assembling recorded video footage, design still images and edit audio clips for
online distribution. The Digital Video/Graphics Editor will work closely with
the Digital Producer to engage followers through writing and creating of
content which will promote the Corporation’s brand in a positive manner.
Responsibilities
·
Taking a design from brief to concept
to polished deliverable
·
Managing workflow (which will include
multiple projects at one time) and productivity in accordance with product schedules,
budgets, and creative goals.
·
Staying up-to-date on cutting edge
design throughout the industry
·
Developing alternate story forms such
as charts, galleries, tables, timelines, info graphics, process charts for
online and the social media
·
Develop fascinating graphics, video
branding for all KBC products
·
Ensure good labeling and storage
video content for future use
·
Responsible for video shooting
assignments for any event
·
Interpreting and translating
situations, news and ideas into video graphics
·
Ensuring the Corporation’s standard
video/image watermarking is applied.
Qualifications
·
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic
Design/Interaction Design or related discipline
·
Over two (2) years’ experience in
digital marketing and social media
·
Strong familiarity with the business
applications of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn,
etc)
·
Knowledge on Adobe Creative Cloud
Suite of Products, Final cut including but not limited to Premiere, After
Effects and Photoshop CC. Motion graphics experience is a plus.

Digital Content Editor

The Role
While
reporting to the Digital Chief Sub-Editor, the job holder will collect, collate
and write content to the website and all the Corporation’s social media
platforms, taking particular responsibility for News content. This will include
blogging, creating social profiles, managing regular posts and responding to
followers.
Specific Terms
Three
(3) years contract renewable subject to positive performance output.
Responsibilities
·
Enacting the editorial policy of the
Corporation
·
Attending regular meetings with the
Digital Chief Sub-Editor and taking assignments for researching and covering
news stories, features, specialist interviews and other original content
·
Taking responsibility for news
content on the website
·
Ensuring consistent high quality,
good ‘inclusive’ writing and plenty of visuals
·
Originating new ideas, and proposing
ways to pull together or link stories thematically and geographically, and to
add in depth coverage on issues
·
Maintaining close working
relationships with Editorial Services Department to keep abreast of the latest
fixes and developments
·
Ensuring and/ or checking compliance
with normal legal frameworks, including copyright and defamation
·
Checking all compliance and legal
issues with the Digital Chief Sub-Editor if in doubt, and as a matter of course
on sensitive, difficult or high profile stories
·
Occasionally contributing to other
areas of KBC work, including live events.
Qualifications
·
Bachelor’s degree in
Journalism/Communication or related field
·
At least two (2) years’ experience as
a Journalist writing for a news operations, broadcast or print, or associated
online service, possibly a local newspaper or Radio/TV station or mainstream
website
·
In depth and extensive understanding
of news, and a good instinct for a story.
·
Proven experience on the need to
deliver quickly, accurately and against the pressure of deadlines
·
Must have knowledge of visual layout
and photography, a sound grounding in the legal framework of journalism and an
understanding of KBC social issues
·
Must be able to use word processing
and web publishing software.
Organization Skills Required

Social Media Administrator (2 Posts)

The Role
While
reporting to the Digital Chief Sub-Editor, the job holder will use the
Corporation’s social media strategy in order to boost visibility and customer /
client engagement by maintaining new marketing campaigns, brand promotions,
monitor progress using web analytic tools, and answer directly to social media
inquiries, while using the Corporation’s guidelines. He/she will continuously
generate content for the company, creating new ideas and campaigns.
Specific Terms
Three
(3) years contract renewable subject to positive performance output.
Responsibilities
·
Building and executing social media strategy
through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging
and audience identification
·
Generating, editing, publishing and
sharing daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds
meaningful connections and encourages viewers and listeners to take action
·
Setting up and optimizing the
Corporation’s pages within each platform to increase the visibility of
Corporation’s social content
·
Moderating all user-generated content
in line with the Organization’s Social Media Policy
·
Continuously improving by capturing
and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices,
and then acting on the information
·
Collaborating with other Departments
(customer relations, sales etc) to manage reputation, identify key players and
coordinate actions.
Qualifications
·
Bachelor’s degree in
Journalism/Communication, Marketing,/IT/PR or related field
·
Three (3) years working experience in
Social Media marketing or as a Digital Media specialist
·
Excellent consulting, writing,
editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skill
·
Demonstrable social networking
experience and social analytics tools knowledge
·
Adequate knowledge of web design and
web development.
