The MCW Unit wishes to engage field
staffs for Afya Kwa Ukoo Endline survey to establish the impact of project
activities on MNCH in Garissa.
Duties and Responsibilities
·
Conduct quantitative interviews on
all recruited and assigned respondents.
·
Complete, edit and submit all
assigned interviews for cross-checking and verification by the supervisor on a
daily basis.
·
Keep updated records and databases of
assigned work.
·
Regularly file reports on project
activities.
·
Review the collected data to ensure
all questions are completed prior to online submission.
·
Data collection progress report
writing.
·
Meeting the team leader on regular
basis to submit progress updates.
·
Following-up with participants for
missing responses or to correct any inaccurate responses.
·
Any other related activity assigned
by the project coordinator during the contract period.
Qualifications
·
Should have completed secondary
education and possess a minimum grade C in KCSE.
·
Be a resident of Garissa,
·
Have proven experience in
quantitative data collection and electronic data capture will be an added
advantage.
·
Fluent in English, Kiswahili and
Somali (verbal and written).
·
Excellent communication and
interpersonal and report writing skills.
·
Be prepared to work full time on the
project for the duration of the study.
·
Previous engagement with APHRC will
be an added advantage

Conduct Key informant interviews
·
Facilitate focus group discussions.
·
Record interviews and focus group
discussions using digital recording devices provided by the research team.
·
Write brief reports following each
interview/focus group discussion.
·
Keep updated records and databases of
assigned work.
·
Regularly file reports on project
activities.
·
Attend and participate in all project
related meetings.
·
Take care and keep inventory of all
assigned project equipment.
·
Any other related activity assigned
by the project coordinator during the contract period.
Qualifications
·
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in
Public Health/Population Health or any other health related course from a
recognized university.
·
Proficiency in computer applications.
·
Be a resident of Garissa.
·
Have proven experience in qualitative
interviewing and or moderation.
·
Be prepared to work full time on the
project for the duration of the study.
·
Proficient in English, Kiswahili and
Somali languages (verbal and written).
·
Excellent communication and
interpersonal and report writing skills.
·
