Cyber Security Assurance

We are pleased to announce the following vacancy in the Technology Security Department within the Corporate Security Division. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Technology Security – Architecture, Design & Assurance, the position holder will support the Technology Security Assurance as required by the business.

Responsibilities
·         Conduct periodic security reviews, vulnerability assessments & penetration tests across all of Safaricom’s systems/infrastructure
·         Ensure all new and existing systems/products/services comply with Safaricom’s security policies & standards and other industry best practices e.g. ISO27001, PCI, GDPR etc.
·         Provide timely and quality security assurance reports and advice to the business when required even with very tight deadlines
·         Do regular follow ups with system custodians/owners to ensure any security risks identified are addressed within the agreed timelines
·         Define technology security metrics and report periodically on security compliance across all networks/systems
·         Develop a monthly scorecard for each department based on how well they are performing in terms of Technology Security compliance
·         Research on new threats/technologies/vulnerabilities/security design principles etc.
Qualifications
·         Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in Information Systems Security – e.g. Ethical Hacking, Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Assessments, Pre-and-Post Implementation System Reviews, etc.
·         Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in Networks and Operating Systems e.g.  Cisco, Windows (All), Unix, Linux etc.
·         Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in programming and various Web application technologies e.g. cPanel, ModSecurity, Apache, Java, PHP, ASP, CMS, Joomla, WordPress etc. will be an added advantage
·         Working knowledge of Virtualization Technologies e.g. VMware, Microsoft HyperV, etc. will be an added advantage
·         Working knowledge and experience in DevOps and Microservices technologies i.e. Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Gitlab/Github etc…

Core Network Engineer

Reporting to the Manager – Data Support, Core Network Support, the position holder will ensure high availability in the core network elements.
Responsibilities
·         Schedule and document preventive maintenance.
·         Schedule and document BCP/DR plans/
·         KPI monitoring of system and service availability to ensure adherence to agreed and standard KPI thresholds.
·         Integration of new equipment, solutions and implementation of new technologies.
·         Configuration changes on existing Network elements, detail analysis and troubleshooting of incidents/faults within SLA.
Qualifications
·         University degree in Electrical & Electronics engineering or related technology.
·         5 years working experience in IT/telecommunications with at least 2years’ experience in operations and support of data networks.

Performance Manager

Department Description

Reporting to the Senior Manager Vendor Operations, the position holder will be tasked with improving the overall business performance, customer satisfaction and re-purchase rates by improving the vendor performance.
Responsibilities
·         Develop processes in conjunction with the Warehousing and Logistics teams to improve the vendor On-Time Shipping & On-Time Delivery which will improve Customer Experience.
·         Ensure all vendors on Masoko are aware of the SLAs and agree to abide by them.
·         Enforce, update and refresh Masoko SLAs for vendors
·         Create clean and compelling visual reporting and graphical depictions of data that shows impact of OTS/OTD and Order Defect Rate performance for Masoko.
·         Analyze large quantities of data to Category Managers and the business at large make timely and relevant decisions in the onboarding and management of vendors.
·         Manages end-to-end Partner Performance metrics, Order Defect Rate, On-Time Shipping, Valid Tracking, and relationship success.
·         Monitoring and defining strategies to act on customer feedback; and providing strategic and operational recommendations to senior staff and cross-functional/third party partners
·         In conjunction with warehousing and content teams ensure the accuracy of the stock levels published on the website especially for consignment stock.
·         Ensure the adoption of the Vendor Portal for all vendors.
Qualifications
·         Bachelor’s degree in a relevant and quantitative field (e.g. Operations Research, Economics, Management Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, etc.).

Brief Description
Reporting to the HOD – Consumer Products and Services, the role holder will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for the assigned Consumer Products and Services by; defining the overall strategy, designing and developing insightful segment-led propositions and crafting the marketing strategy to drive product adoption and usage in conjunction with other stakeholders.
They will also manage the assigned products life cycle and general commercial aspects to ensure continuous product performance on profitability, NPS and brand fit.
Responsibilities
·         Develop, Manage and Deliver propositions for assigned product/portfolio.
·         Partner management for all Products and services.
