Head of Finance

Reporting to the Managing Director the Head of Finance will be responsible for the overall management of Finance Department
Responsibilities
·         Manage financial resources effectively and efficiently through review development and implementation of dynamic strategy, policies and plans of activity based budgets and implementation of strict budgetary control measures

·         Manage daily financial transactions and ensure that they are carried out in accordance with acceptable accounting standards
·         Manage preparation of financial and management reports as may be required
·         Budget preparation and monitoring for the department
·         Develop, review and interpret financial policies, regulations, strategies and procedures
·         Develop and ensure the maintenance of internal control and accounting systems
·         Ensure compliance with the International Financial Reporting Standards and Public Finance management Act 2012
·         Coordinate overall budget preparation for recurrent and development expenditure at the Company including annual estimates
·         Prepare, review and interpret financial reports and statements
·         Undertake strategic financial analysis of the company’s business
·         Control income, cash flow and expenditure
·         Analyze financial performance and advise on the financial implications of business decisions
·         Monitor and evaluate financial information systems and recommend improvements
·         Mobilize financial resources in liaison with departments and other agencies for the company’s projects
·         Implement Corporate Governance procedures, risk management and internal controls
·         Oversee departmental staff training and development and performance management;
·         Mentoring and coaching staff and ensuring prudent allocation and utilization of resources
Qualifications
·         Be a holder of Bachelors / Masters Degree in any of the following fields:- Commerce (Finance/Accounting Option), Finance, Economics, Business Administration (Finance Option) or,
·         Possesses Professional qualifications; CPA-K, and be an active member of ICPAK, Certificate in leadership course from recognised company
·         A minimum of 10 years professional experience 5 years of which must have been at middle management level with the responsibility of management and oversight of multiple finance functions i.e. budgeting and costing, cash and bank/revenue, accounts payable, accounts receivable, non-current assets.
·         Should have a Certificate in Leadership/Management Course from recognized Institution
·         Proven ability and professional competence in Accounting and Finance management in a manufacturing or production environment.
·         Be familiar with performance development and measurement systems
·         Knowledge of IFRSs, ISAs and PFM Act 2012
·         Be a person of high integrity and openness combined with commitment to good governance

Head of Supply Chain Management
Reporting to the Managing Director the Head of Supply Chain Management will be responsible for the overall management of Supply Chain Management.
Responsibilities
·         Formulate and implement strategies and policies for procurement of goods and services
·         Develop long-term and short-term procurement plans in liaison with users and as per the Company’s material requirements
·         Coordinate procurement of quality materials and services to support the Company’s operations
·         Coordinate internal monitoring and evaluation of the supply chain function of the Company, prepare tender and prequalification documents for expression of interest for the Company and ensure goods and services procured by Company meet tender specifications
·         Identify, evaluate, select and negotiate contractual terms and prices with third party providers including suppliers; developing detailed Service Level Agreements for third party providers outlining the key performance areas critical to the Company
·         Monitor third party providers’ performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; convening and providing secretarial services to the Tender Committee and ensure maintenance of updated suppliers list
·         Provide advisory services in the procurement matters to the Company including preparation of consolidated procurement and disposal plan.
Qualifications
·         Be a holder of Bachelors/Master’s Degree in any of the following fields:- Supply Chain Management, Commerce (Supplies Management option), Procurement and Supplies Management, Business Administration, Logistics or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
·         Possess a Certificate in Leadership/management course from a recognized institution
·         Must be an active member with Kenya Institute of Supplies Management or Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies or with a relevant professional body recognized in Kenya
·         Be conversant with the relevant computer Applications
·         Be familiar with performance development and measurement systems
·         Be able to demonstrate managerial, administrative and professional competence in work performance with at least 6 years work experience

Engineer
Reporting to the Managing Director the Engineer I will provide leadership to the design and development of products and services as well contribute to effective maintenance and advisee on the performance of the quality assurance system.
Responsibilities
·         Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary team to enable them develop, implement and evaluate strategic management plans and budgets aimed at improving performance standards and organization effectiveness
·         Set appropriate production systems and work procedures and instructions
·         Prepare specifications for material procurement, carry out evaluation and material inspection
·         Ensure adherence to safety procedures and regulations
·         Implement quality control systems useful in evaluating and testing mechanical processes /product for consistency
·         Provide technical solutions to Engineering problems and monitor engineering processes to ensure conformance to standard project procedures
·         Assist in designing and developing products and processes and installation of machinery and equipment’s
·         Direct work planning and estimation of costs
·         Test and analyze machines tools and components to enhance production of quality products and services
Qualifications

·         Be a holder of a Bachelor Degree in any of the following fields:- Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Metallurgy, Chemical, Manufacturing, Production, Civil Engineering or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
·         Be an active member of the Engineers Board of Kenya with annual professional practicing license or member of Kenya Engineering Technology Board registered as Engineering Technologist with annual practicing license.
·         Be conversant with computer application in production or engineering field.
·         Must have attended leadership/Management Course from a recognized institution;
·         Be familiar with performance development and measurement system
·         Have knowledge and experience of not less than Seven (7) years in a similar role.
·         Be a person of high integrity and openness combined with commitment to good governance

ICT Officer
Reporting to the Managing Director the Information Communication
Technology Officer I will be responsible for the overall management of ICT Department.
Responsibilities
·         Ensure timely implementation and effective maintenance of systems
·         Adhere to information communication technology standards
·         Evaluate and recommend on the suitability of information communication technology equipment
·         Train, mentor and coach information communication technology personnel and users
·         Prepare hardware specifications for information communication technology equipment; verify, validate and certify information communication technology equipment
·         Supervise the entire security measures and networking systems in the company; develop reports on ICT standards
·         Administer and manage the company’s local area network, wide area network, internet, intranet and telecommunications facilities
·         Plan and recommend periodic ICT upgrades, backups and database management
·         Maintain integrity of server security
·         Manage the company’s information systems and control the company data base
·         Provide technical support to ICT infrastructure in the company
·         Update and keep inventory on information communication technology equipment; implementing, maintaining and documenting standards of systems
·         Repair and maintain information communication technology equipment and associated peripherals
·         Participate in designing, developing, review and update the content of the company’s website
·         Prepare progress reports of the information communication technology equipment maintenance
·         Keep up to date with emerging technologies to help in continuous improvement and cost reduction in the company
Qualifications
·         Bachelors of Science degree in any of the following disciplines: – Computer Science, Computer Technology, Informatics computer Science & Technology, Business Information Technology or its equivalent qualification from recognized institution.
·         Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)/ Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) or any other equivalent qualification from recognized institution.
·         At least 4 years’ experience in ICT field in public or private sector
·         Proven ability to create high quality functional documentation and strong requirements gathering skills
·         Exposed to core Database Management System
·         Be familiar with ERP systems in Manufacturing
·         Be familiar with performance development and measurement systems
·         Be a person of high integrity and openness combined with commitment to good governance

Internal Auditor
Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, the Internal Auditor will assist in undertaking audit assignments and preparing detailed audit observations and reports.
Responsibilities
·         Undertake audit assignments and preparing detailed audit observations and reports
·         Examine company accounts and financial control system
·         Gauge levels of financial risks within the organization
·         Check that financial reports and records are accurate and reliable
·         Ensure that assets are safeguarded
·         Identify where processes are not working as they should and advise on changes to be made
·         Prepare reports, commentaries and financial statements
·         Ensure procedures policies, legislation and regulations are correctly followed and complied
·         Carry out company risk evaluation and efficiency audit
·         Conduct financial and systems audit
·         Participate in developing and updating internal audit manual
·         Oversee stocktaking and carry out risk assessment, corruption risk assessment and anti-corruption awareness activities
Qualifications
·         Be a holder of Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accountancy, Finance or Audit option
·         Possesses Certified Public Accountant CPA (K), a member of ICPAK with a valid license.
·         At least 4 years’ experience in auditing and finance management
·         Be familiar with performance development and measurement systems
·         Proven ability and professional competence in Auditing and Finance management in a manufacturing or production environment
·         Be a person of high integrity and openness combined with commitment to good governance
