Senior Business Intelligence Manager

As Senior Business Intelligence Manager, you will lead our analytics function by generating data-driven insights to guide commercial and operating strategy; developing metrics, dashboards, and statistical analyses; and shaping our overall data vision & strategy.
·         Build models to identify trends, forecast performance, and identify improvements to company strategy, products, and operations
·         Design and run data analyses to guide decision-making
·         Design and prepare company dashboards and other key stakeholder reporting
·         Design and develop automation tools to streamline day-to-day activities
·         Identify and coordinate data infrastructure improvements with the software team
·         Train, support, and manage business intelligence and data science analysts
·         Ensure consistency, accuracy, and overall integrity of business metrics
·         Develop and maintain business intelligence documentation, training materials, best practices, and overall data toolkit
·         Bachelor degree, ideally in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or Economics (Master’s degree a plus)
·         Experience in data analysis, consulting, finance, or other quantitatively rigorous role (ideally, 3-5+ years)
·         Experience managing a team (ideally, 1-3+ years)
·         Strong aptitude for product and project management, including ability to balance priorities, clarify stakeholder requirements, lead cross-functional efforts, pay keen attention to detail, and generally keep deliverables on schedule
·         Proficiency with Tableau, SQL, Excel, and advanced statistical methods (Python an added plus)

Principal Engineer, Android
As Principal Android Engineer, you will lead the technical strategy, design, and development of high quality Android applications to help deliver a first of its kind technology solution in Kenya and beyond in collaboration with our team of passionate Product Managers and Engineers.
·         Lead work streams with Product and QA to design and develop our Android applications
·         Work with peers to find efficient solutions for architectural problems
·         Lead code reviews, tech sessions and provide regular direction, mentoring, and coaching to developers on best practices and improvement initiatives
·         Improve test automation by writing unit tests and guiding others in this process
·         Implement CI/CD processes
·         Keep up to date with open-source Android ecosystem to ensure new frameworks and technologies are being used in KOKO’s applications
·         Manage Level 3 support functions for production systems which include immediate fixes to any critical defects or essential enhancements in the live systems and setting a high standard for such support service levels within the engineering team
·         Contribute to building a strong culture of technical excellence within the team
·         Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
·         Expert understanding of Java and Android SDK, Gradle, and third party frameworks, tools, and SDKs, such as Retrofit
·         Significant experience working with product managers, designers, and QA in a SCRUM environment
·         Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
·         Expertise in integrating Android applications with back-end services including offline and synchronisation techniques
·         Experience developing real-time, low-latency, high-availability, and high performing applications using IoT technologies and communications (MQTT, etc.)
·         Experience working with hardware devices and hardware communications protocols (Serial USB, RS232, other Hardware comms)
·         Experience with distributing mobile applications via public app stores and/or enterprise channel as well as via bespoke channels
·         Ability to communicate with all levels of management and peers within the organisation
·         Ability to prioritise work and tasks under pressure

Quality Assurance Engineer
·         Write test plans, test cases, execute test cases, and report bugs for API, web, and mobile apps
·         Create automation scripts in Java and/or Python to automate the API, web, and mobile apps
·         Perform execution of scripts during release time
·         Create and perform hardware tests on the embedded systems and electronic devices
·         Work on tasks assigned by Quality Assurance Lead and report key metrics to all stakeholders
·         Mentor and coach colleagues in the Quality Assurance team to take on additional responsibilities
·         2-5 years experience in manual and automation testing
·         Experience in Selenium using Java and/or Python

Product Manager, Ad Tech
As Product Manager, Ad Tech, you will lead the product design, development, and release of the KOKO advertising platform from inception to launch. As the product is in early stages of development, the successful candidate will also be responsible for selection of appropriate tools, technologies and platforms, negotiations with vendors, preparing technical and marketing assets, and pitching to potential advertisers.

·         Manage the success of AdTech platform and services, including strategy, product roadmap, product design and specification, quality, sales enablement and launch
·         Establish a product roadmap based on data, research and feedback from clients, customer success team, marketing and sales
·         Engage and work closely with the Engineering team to help determine the best technical implementation methods, as well as a reasonable execution schedule
·         Assess market competition by comparing the product to competitors’ products
·         Provide source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives
·         Assess product market data by calling on customers with field salespeople and evaluating sales call results
·         Provide information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product impact and value addition forecasts and special reports and analyses; answering questions and requests
·         Coordinate launch activities for platform enhancements, assess business impact, communicate to stakeholders and measure post-launch impact
·         Determine and assess impact on product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing costs; anticipating volume

Deployment Technician, Mechatronics
As the Deployment Technician, you will be responsible for field installation and commissioning of KOKOpoints (mechatronic self-service machines which dispense cooking fuel) in retail outlets across Nairobi neighborhoods in advance of Nairobi Network Launch.
·         Carry out KOKOpoint installs and tests to installation and test protocols
·         Collaborate with technical team and share information on test results, making adjustments where required through provided communication channels and tools
·         Document activities by completing forms, reports, logs, and records using provided tools
·         Ensure good work management of provided work orders, instructions, and schedules to meet daily targets and maintain high quality outputs
·         Maintain assigned tools and equipment in good operating condition by following operating instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, maintaining supply levels, and performing regular maintenance
·         Continuously identify needs for improvement by conveying it to supervisor and engineering team to maintain high quality work standards
·         Maintain customer satisfaction through professional conduct and engagements
·         Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Management System requirements
·         Diploma/background in Electrical Engineering
·         1+ year experience in a field installation capacity
·         Comfort with simple electronics & systems debugging

Fuel Logistics Assistant
As Fuel Logistics Assistant, you will provide visibility on fuel quality and supply chain operations and advise the business and external partners on areas of improvement in matters related to fuel operations.
·         Execute fuel partnership implementation plan and ensure that we track and achieve milestones
·         Maintain a strong working relationship with partners at VIVO Energy
·         Offer support to VIVO in utilisation, troubleshooting, and solving KOKO tech-related issues
·         Collate user requirements as they arise and share with Engineering teams
·         Inform VIVO on intended tech improvements, KOKO maintenance activities, and emergency events
·         Monitor closely the fuel network and identify areas that need improvement or increased delivery capacities
·         Ensure regular fuel testing as stipulated by the VIVO-KOKO joint quality protocols
·         Monitor KOKOpoints, micro-tankers, and fuel depots’ stock and equipment health statuses, and keep VIVO appraised
·         Bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, economics, or engineering
·         Experience in fuel logistics is an added advantage
·         Good understanding of Nairobi and surrounding areas
