Job Description
Reporting to Deputy Director, this
position is responsible for the provision of teacher management general
administrative support, customer care and data management in the public
institutions and TSC at the Headquarters, County and sub-County offices.
·
Supervision of the TSC staff and
teachers.
·
Ensure all heads of institutions and
teachers sign the performance contract and appraisal at the beginning of the
year.
·
Monitor staff and teachers’
performance and ensure setting of performance targets and signing of the
appraisal forms.
·
Evaluate the understanding of
teachers on the code of regulations, other education policies and enforce
compliance.
·
Manage customer care matters and
compile reports on customer queries to document employees’ and clients’ points
of concern that may inform policy direction.
·
Compile complaints report on matters
affecting teachers and forward the report for action.
·
Coordinate with field officers and
heads of institutions that proper data and information is maintained for
teacher management functions for easy references and retrieval.
·
Establish and maintain staffing data
in institutions and advice on recruitments, transfers and deployment.
·
Sensitize teachers/staff on Code of
Regulations, Code of Conduct and Ethics, other regulations for maintenance of
employees’ discipline.
·
Provide leadership in mentoring and
coaching of staff.
·
Provide input into the preparation of
the Service area’s annual budget.
Requirements
·
Master’s Degree in Education from a
recognized university.
·
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or
BA/BSc with PGDE from a recognized university.
·
Must have served in TSC scale 10, D3,
D4 or an equivalent position for a minimum of three (3) years.
·
TSC secretariat staff must have
served in TSC scale 10 or an equivalent position for a minimum of three (3)
years.
·
Teachers must have served in former
Job Groups N and P (current D3) or an equivalent position for a minimum of
three (3) years.
·
Knowledge in relevant legislation in
education, labour laws and trends in Education.
·
Knowledge in relevant teaching
professional standards and ethics.
·
Demonstrate Leadership, Communication
and Interpersonal skills.
·
Shown merit in Job performance
·
Must meet the requirements of Chapter
6 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010
Remuneration Package:
·
Basic Salary: 111,446 – 138,248
·
House Allowance: 16,800 – 45,000
·
Commuter Allowance: 12,000
·
Leave Allowance: 10,000(pa)

Chain, this position is responsible for implementation of supply chain strategy
and ensuring high level service delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities

Implement the purchasing strategy to
ensure timely delivery, quality goods, works and services, in support of the
Commission operations.

Recommend on improvements to the
supply chain policies and procedures, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements
·
Master’s Degree in Business
Administration or Supply Chain Management from a recognized University
·
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain
Management, Business Administration or Commerce from a recognized University
·
Professional qualification in supply
chain management e.g. CIPS, KISM, or any other qualification from a recognized
institution.
·
Must have served in TSC scale 10 or
an equivalent position for a minimum of three (3) years.
·
Registered member of relevant
professional bodies
·
Knowledge of Commercial Law, Public
Procurement and Assets Disposal Act 2015
·
Knowledge in Public Finance
Management Act 2012
·
Must have attended Senior Management
Course at KSG
·

Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Deputy
Director ICT, this position is responsible for systems administration, security
and efficient operations of all computer systems, related applications, hardware
and software.
Duties and Responsibilities
·
Provide leadership to the systems
team
·
Advice the management in all aspect
of systems development, acquisition and deployment
·
The design/analysis, development,
delivery and ongoing improvement of all Systems Integration processes
·
Evaluate systems/business processes,
procedures and performance areas that need process improvements.
·
Work closely with Vendors, ICT and
Commission staff and other stakeholders to identify automation needs and assist
in defining software systems functional requirements.
·
Analyze the entire ERP/Application
system (application, Database and Operating System) performance to ensure
optimal operational levels.
·
Conduct business user requirements
analysis and specification.
·
Manage and support high performance,
highly available and mission critical ERP system and other core applications
systems for the organization.
·
Undertake business application/ERP
tests in controlled environment before introduction of new solutions in the
production environment.
·
Provide leadership in systems
implementation team/ developers to ensure optimal Software/hardware sizing to
application in order to guarantee service availability and enhance performance.
·
Conduct continued analysis of the ERP
by running systematic tests at random intervals to confirm there are no bugs or
security violations Control and monitor all system operations that affect
business.
·
Develop system reports and act as a
liaison between business and external developers on systems development related
issues.
·
Provide leadership in mentoring and
coaching of directorate staff to inspire and motivate them.
·
Evaluate and monitor performance
appraisal of staff
Requirements
·
Master’s Degree in Computer Science,
Software engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Distributed
Computing Technology or related software development fields from a recognized
university.
·
Bachelor’s degree in Computer
Science, Information technology, Information systems or related field in
software development from a recognized university.
·
Professional ICT qualifications e.g.
CCNA, CISM, CCNP or any other certification course from a recognized
institution.
·
Very proficient in at least two of
following programing language; PHP, Python, Java, C++
·
Experience with software design and
development and developers team leadership.
·
Ability to learn new software
development languages and technologies
·
Familiarity with HTML/CSS, JavaScript
and UI/UX design.
·
Working experience in mentoring
junior software developers on design patterns, development best practices and
DevOps trade-offs
·
Understanding of software quality
assurance principles
·
Experience with databases and
Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks
·
Professional certificates related to
software development and database management e.g. MCSD, Oracle, PHP
·
At least 10 Years continuous
experience in systems development with team leadership skills
·
Must have served in TSC scale 12 or
an equivalent position for a minimum of three (3) years.

Strategic Leadership Development
Program from Kenya School of Government will be an added advantage
