The County Government of Bomet through the Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions: –

Cashier – J/G CPSB 12 (5 Posts)
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the officer in charge, he/she will: –

·         Receive payment by cash, cheques or automatic debits.
·         Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
·         Maintain clean and orderly cheque registers.
·         Issue trading licenses or Single Business Permit
·         Obtain total payments for a period and reconcile this with total sales.
·         Compute and record totals of transactions.
·         Keep periodic balance sheets of cash amounts and transactions details.
·         Maintain financial and online payment system.
·         Collect information, calculating taxes, fees, and other expenses and preparing invoices

·         Deposit cash and cheques in the bank on a daily basis
·         Prepare daily, weekly and monthly revenue reports per each collection stream
·         Inform and issue demand notices.
·         Maintain utilities records and produced monthly reports on collections.
·         Perform coding and reconciliation of customers’ accounts.
Requirements
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: –
·         Certificate in accounts or equivalent qualification;
·         Proficiency in computer application skills;
·         Minimum two (2) years relevant experience
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
