Roles                   

·         Lead the development of the corporate services directorate strategy.
·         Responsible for Finance, Procurement, Accounts, Administration including fleet management, facility maintenance and Asset management.
·         Provide leadership in the development and implementation of budgets, policies and procedures to support the achievement of the institution strategy.
·         Provide leadership in development of timely and quality work plans for staff at all levels, derived from the directorate overall strategy.
·         Provide guidance on security of Commission assets, facilities and inventory;
·         Report on the performance of the corporate services directorate in line with the overall strategy of the institution.
·         Mentor and coach staff members within the directorate to enhance work performance as set out in the appraisal schemes.
·         Lead the training and development of staff in the directorate in line with both individual and institution performance objectives.
·         Establish and maintain relations with both internal and external stakeholders to lobby for support necessary for the achievement of the overall institutional strategy;
·         Ensure compliance with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements;
·         Establish clients and stakeholders’ engagements including initiatives for developing and nurturing a performance and results oriented culture, positive public image, staff integrity, discipline and welfare programmes; and
·         Co-ordinate preparation and submission of statutory and other required reports to the Presidency and Parliament.
·         Preparation of Directorates’ budget.
·         Participate in and coordinate the Commission budgetary process.

Qualifications

·         Master’s degree in any of the social sciences or comparable and relevant qualification from a university recognized in Kenya;
·         Bachelor’s degree in any of the social sciences from a university recognized in Kenya
·         Certificate in strategic leadership course from a recognized institution;
·         Current membership and be in good standing with a relevant professional body;
·         Have a thorough understanding of policies, legislation and regulations governing Accounts, finance and procurement
·         Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
·         Fifteen (15) years of service, of which five (5) must be of similar experience in a comparable position from a reputable organization.

Counselors

·         Identifying the psychosocial and stress related problems of clients;

·         Making follow ups and referrals of clients; and

Qualification, Knowledge and Skills

Senior Counselor

Roles

·         Conducting client intake, individual and group counseling sessions;
·         Responsible for handling psychosocial problems of clients in the counseling Centre;
·         Extracting psychosocial information from the client;
·         Observation of causal factors which might be useful to the treatment plan;
·         Implementation of client’s treatment programme and follow-up on discharge from the Centre.

Manager, Counseling Services

Manager Internal Auditor

Roles

·         Lead the development and implementation of the internal audit strategy for the commission;
·         Lead the preparation and implementation of the audit budget;
·         Provide leadership in and approve the overall audit plan derived from the audit strategy;
·         Provide leadership in the development and implementation of the Audit Framework;
·         Ensure the development, review and implementation of audit policies and procedures;

·         Review the annual risk based audit plan and present it to the audit committee for approval, and monitor its implementation;
·         Approve and present quality and timely audit reports to the audit committee on a quarterly basis;
·         Coordinate the activities of and provide secretarial services to the audit committee;
·         Champion enterprise risk management in the commission and assess the effectiveness of risk management strategies implemented by the commission;

·         Conduct the annual verification of the commission’s assets.

Qualifications Knowledge and Skills:

·         Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Investment, Economics, Business
·         Administration from a recognized institution;
·         Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounts or Economics, Business Administration from a recognized institution;
·         Certified Public Accountant of Kenya(CPAK) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA);
·         Members of Institute of Certified Public Accountants (ICPAK);

Deputy Director Counseling Services

Director Counseling Services

·         Roles Overall planning, management and administration of Counseling services;
·         Reviewing and coordinating of Counseling policies;

·         Diploma in Counselor Supervision Course;
·         Trainer of Facilitation Course in Psychological Counseling lasting not less than two (2) weeks;
·         Proficiency in Computer Applications;

·         Registration with the Kenya Counseling Association (KCA), and,
·         Demonstrated merit and ability in management of Counseling and proven professional competence in developing strategic and operational plans in Counseling.
