Our client, a well-established Healthcare Conglomerate including full-fledged hospitals with countrywide presence, seeks to engage a professional, passionate and energetic talent in the position of: –
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Main Purpose of the Job: To lead the finance function by designing and overseeing the business finance strategy, policies and reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial results of the business in line with accounting standards and within corporate governance protocols in support of the Group’s objectives and strategy.

This position also ensures standards, systems & integrity through a motivated & performing team.
Key Responsibilities of the Job
Effective people management
·         Demonstrate visible leadership in respect of the Group’s values, operating model and strategy.
·         Actively lead the hospital’s initiatives and projects as it relates to Finance and Administration.
·         Actively participate in Leadership meetings, ecosystem CFO forums, Board meetings and other relevant meetings and forums
·         Actively lead and manage F&A, SMT and Business Unit manager’s feedback meetings and ensure participation from all parties to achieve strategic objectives
·         Recruit, retain, motivate and develop staff according to the Group’s people policies and practices.
Accurate financial reporting & analysis
·         Responsibility for managing general ledger close, people and processes to adhere to reporting deadlines
·         Prepare variance to budget as compared to prior year analysis, report on Group and Business Unit performance, identify problem areas and take remedial action with staff and enabling functions as required
·         Support to Group CEO and Group COO and Business Units with regard to financial analysis and reporting including but not limited to turnover, employee costs, doctor costs, COGS and operating expenses.
Effective budgeting
·         Participate in Group strategic planning to identify Capex projects, developing financial models for proposed plans with local management and enabling functions and assist Group CEO in developing motivations for Capex projects
·         Ensure effective financial evaluation and financing of major investments / capital spend allowing for sound decision making
·         Develop operating budget, ensure final budget presented matches approved parameters, ensure sign off of budget by management and Board and communicate approved budget to all units
·         Ensure final working capital budget presented reflects the requirements of the operating budget, ensure sign off by management and Board and communicate approved budget to all units
Effective management of internal controls
·         Prevent financial loss through fraud and / or error by ensuring that assets are safeguarded and closely monitoring and maintaining an adequate system of internal controls.

·         Prepare annual review checklists and manage the internal control environment across the Group
Effective Accounts Receivable management
·         Ensure all credit management targets are met (i.e. internal and external debtor’s days etc.)
·         Manage and minimize risk and achieve Group targets regarding rejections, bad debts and case management write offs
·         Oversee pre-admission trends with relevant manager and manage appropriately
·         Identify problems and take remedial actions with relevant stakeholders
Effective governance and risk management
·         Manage compliance to the executive constraints per corporate governance, report deviations and take action where necessary
·         Ensure that regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met as regards to all company financial affairs
Effective quality management and customer relations
·         Achieve and improve quality metrics, continuously monitor and measure processes to maintain and approve the same and actively lead and promote the Group’s quality drive
·         Manage data integrity and compliance to the Group’s protocols
·         Develop and maintain relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications
·         Master’s Degree with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or business related field.
·         CPA(K) and ICPAK membership and at least 7 years’ active & relevant experience

Projects & Administration Executive
Main Responsibilities
1. Booking tickets and making reservations for business and vacation customers including travel, hotels, rental cars, and special events, such as tours and excursions.
2. Sending out tickets and providing general advice to clients on travel arrangements such as passports, visa
3. Selling and Marketing of company products & services and coming up with new ways to penetrate the market and ensure product uptake
4. Ensure and provide flawless, upscale, professional and high class customer service experiences through the execution of the functional strategy
5. Manage and ensure leads are followed up, appropriate action taken and present monthly reports to management, including providing insights and recommendations to achieve objectives.

Academic Qualifications & Experience
1. Bachelor’s Degree in a Tourism & Hospitality, Public Relations or Business Administration
2. At least 3 year’s relevant experience, 2 years as a travel agent
3. Must be IATA Certified
4. Galileo or Amadeus training preferred
