Business Development Manager, Broker Channel

Role Purpose
Business Development for General Insurance Business and coordinating the implementation of the work plan to enable achievement of the set budget and ensuring improvement of business production and service delivery of the outreach producers and encouraging achievement of the set production target for the producers

Responsibilities

·         Providing strong leadership in the development of the business under the broker channel so as to support the achievement of the department’s objectives, business plan, ensuring delivery and maintenance of highest standard of customer service and marketing of the company products
·         Contributing to the formulation of and review of business plan and budgets and ensuring success
·         Identification of new business leads, liaison with brokers, maintenance of sales funnel and continuous follow up of prospects (negotiations) to ensure high quotation conversion rates
·         Conducting market research, analyzing business trends in the market and providing market intelligence to the Head of Business Development for key business decisions for sustainable upward growth of the channel
·         Onboarding and developing brokers to achieve maximum production to the company and conducting periodic training programs to intermediaries to sensitize them on the marketing of company’s new and existing products

Recovery Officer

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Recovery Officer, General Department. The role reports to Claims Manager, General Department.
Role Purpose
Aggressively Pursue maximum motor and non-motor recoveries from third party insurers and third parties within the limitation period with a special emphasis on mitigating claims costs.

Responsibilities

·         Maintain and update proper records of the company’s recoveries and expected recoveries from other Insurance Companies
·         Ensure that initial demand has been sent out on all recovery matters
·         Quantify and document the company’s recovery claims to the third parties within reasonable time
·         Promptly deal with third party claims that fall under Knock for Knock for purposes of cost cutting on claims
·         Appoint tracers to investigate legal/beneficial ownership of third party vehicles, economic status and physical addresses for purposes of pursuing recovery through court
·         Liaise with Legal section on recoveries that are to be filed in court
·         Meet the set recovery target each month and deal with general correspondence on recovery matters
·         Attend court to produce claim documents when required and pursue witness statements from insureds
·         Providing reports on recoveries to the Claims Manager
