Job Description

China Road and Bridge Corporation (Kenya), a state-owned corporation created and organized under the laws of the People’s Republic of China was formally established and entered the international project contracting market in 1979, and mainly focuses on the contracting of such projects as roads, bridges, ports, railways, airports, tunnels, water conservancy projects, municipal works and dredging works both at home and abroad.

The Railway crosses and runs in parallel with Highway A109 and the existing meter gauge railway, passes through Kenya’s Tsavo National Park and Nairobi National Park, and finally arrives at Nairobi Terminus Station.

Deputy Manager Business and Liaison

Requirements 

·         A master’s degree in Public Relations, Communication, marketing or a related field

·         Over 10 years related working experience in public relations

·         A Member of PRSK/MSK/IPRA/ CIM or a relevant professional body

·         Excellent written, communication, presentation and data analysis skills.

·         Have good knowledge of organization structures, management structures, and operations of local and international media, law firms and government organizations in Kenya.

·         Must be familiar with and knowledgeable of Kenya laws.

·         Must be physically fit

·         Aged between 30-45.

·         Must have a valid certificate of good conduct

Deputy Manager – Fire and Safety

Requirements

·         A master’s degree in disaster management or a related course

·         In possession of a Higher National Diploma in Fire Prevention or Protection and Management, First Aid and

·         Disaster/ Environmental Management or its equivalent from a recognized institution

·         In possession of Fire Protection Association of Kenya Certificate, IFE Level 3 Certificate.

·         Have knowledge of firefighting regulations and occupational health and safety regulations.

·         Have over 10 years working experience in fire prevention/ protection

·         Training in Fire risk reduction and OHS law and management.

·         Possession of Assessor/Lead Assessor certificate for OHSAS

·         Aged between 35-45.

·         Must be physically fit and competent on duty.

·         Have good communication skills and must be a team player.

·         Must have a valid certificate of good conduct

Officer -Public Security

Requirements

·         A Bachelor’s degree in public security majoring in security management, criminology or a related course.

·         Have a good understanding of the Kenya security laws and regulations

·         At least 5 years working experience in security management.

·         Ability to function in stressful and potentially dangerous situations calmly and effectively.

·         First Aid Certificate

·         Aged between 28-35

·         Must be physically fit and competent on duty.

·         Have good communication skills and must be a team player.

·         Must have a valid certificate of good conduct

Deputy Human Resource Manager

Requirements:

·         A Master’s degree in Human Resource Management/Business administration

·         A member of the Institute of Human Resource Management in good standing with a practicing license

·         CHRA,CHRP,or Higher national diploma in Human Resource Management

·         Over 10 years’ working experience in Human Resource field; with at least 6 years in Employee Relations and/or HR management

·         Familiar with Kenyan labor laws, employment law and Human Resource regulations.

·         Equipped with skill in resolving industrial disputes.

·         Experience or thorough understanding in all HR processes (incl. Compensation & Benefits and Industrial Relations)

·         Be highly organized and attentive to detail, and have a passion for bringing order through systems and processes

·         Excellent leadership, consultation, arbitration and negotiation skills.

·         Possess strong analytical skills, and frequently apply quantitative analysis in decision-making

Logistics Management Officer

Requirements:

·         A Bachelor’s degree in logistics/ operations management, hotel management or a related course

·         Working experience in hotel management or a related position for more than 5 years

·         Aged between 25-35 4. Must be physically fit, decent and courteous.

·         Must be a team player 6. Able to assist the manager in local staff management.

·         Excellent IT skills: strong computer competency with word processing and spreadsheets 8. Ability to anticipate and plan, to analyze and synthesize information and to be practical

·         Ability to speak Chinese and English will be an added advantage

·         Must have a valid certificate of good conduct

Corporate Affairs Officer

Requirements:

·         A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, mass communication, public relations or a related field

·         Ability to communicate in both English and Chinese (written and oral).

·         Experience in developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies and promotions

·         At least 5 years relevant work experience

·         Ability to maintain client relationships and networking

·         Expertise in social media communication & a Tech-savvy

·         Experience in events management will be preferred

·         Aged below 35.

·         Excellent presentation skills

·         Membership to Public Relations Society of Kenya is an added advantage
