Communications Officer
Job Summary: The Academy is seeking to establish a communications unit and is therefore looking for a passionate and self-motivated candidate to be part of our team.
The role requires a practised Communications Officer with exceptional communication and people skills who will be responsible for developing a comprehensive and effective communication strategy for the school with the aim of raising the profile of the school and representing the corporate brand image of the school at all times.
As the Communications Officer, you will oversee the implementation of the strategy and will engage with all staff and stakeholders to ensure all communication activities are accurate, on time and effective.
You will lead in the creation, development and co-ordination of all advertising and public relations of the school.
You will establish and maintain the alumni office as well as act as the communication liaison between the school and external partners. You will work with the IT team to ensure our digital sites are updated with timely content.
Qualifications and key skills required
·         A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Development Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, New Media or a related field;
·         Work Experience  in a communications and marketing environment;
·         Highly developed written and oral communication skills including an eye for detail and proof reading skills;
·         Demonstrated experience with content management systems in the delivery and maintenance of websites and e-Newsletters;
·         Expert knowledge of social networking channels and demonstrated experience in administering social media platforms is essential;
·         Advanced computer literacy across a range of applications including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Adobe Creative Suite and web-based applications;
·         Experience with database systems and photo and multimedia editing;
·         Practical experience within a school environment would be advantageous
·         Excellent organizational and planning skills
·         Confident communicator and presenter
·         A wide degree of creativity and latitude

Information Technology (IT) Manager
Job Summary: Academy is looking to recruit a well-rounded IT Manager to lead our IT unit. The role requires an exceptional and experienced individual to lead and manage the provision of technology in the school.

The successful candidate will be required to work with the Unit staff to provide excellent proactive and reactive support to ensure the continuous availability of IT services within the school.
He/she should be able to identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time, besides overseeing the security of data, network access and backup systems.
The IT Manager will lead the implementation of the school’s IT strategy and will work closely with all stakeholders. He/she should be able to design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies, procedures besides also providing full administrative support to the IT unit and will be responsible for IT-related licensing matters, upgrades, troubleshooting and assets.
Qualifications and key skills required
·         Degree in Information and Communication Technology, Computer Science or other related fields.
·         Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science & IT will be an added advantage.
·         Three years relevant working experience
·         Member of ICT professional body e.g. ICTAK, CFSK, CISAK.
·         Proficiency in computer applications.
·         Demonstrated professional competence as reflected in work performance and results.
·         Effective spoken and written communication skills and the ability to explain complex issues in simple terms
·         Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work to meet service needs
·         Practical experience within a school environment would be advantageous
·         Project management experience and the ability to balance competing priorities between multiple projects as well as operational support.
·         Strong analytical and problem solving skills
·         Ability to develop clear and concise documentation
·         Experience in procurement, inventory and asset management of IT equipment as well as IT lifecycle.
