Technical Quality Assurance Manager

Role Purpose Statement:
The Manager Quality Assurance is responsible for establishing an
independent quality assurance system to monitor Kenya Airways compliance with
Civil Aviation Regulations and Internal standards. The holder has direct access
to the Accountable Manager so as to ensure that he is kept properly informed on
quality and compliance matters in relations to the Technical Department.
Key Responsibilities
·
Responsible for monitoring the Civil Aviation Regulations and
requesting any remedial action as necessary by the Base Maintenance Manager,
Line Maintenance Manager, Workshops Manager or the Accountable Manager as appropriate.
·
Establish an independent quality assurance system to monitor
compliance of the Approved Maintenance Organization with KCAA requirements and
any other regulator where applicable.
·
The Manager Quality Assurance works with the Technical Director to
ensure that the requirements of KCAA pertaining to quality and safety of
operations are adhered to in the technical department.
·
The Manager Quality Assurance implements the quality audit program
in which compliance with all maintenance procedures is reviewed at regular
intervals in relation to each type of component maintained. This includes the
management and completion of audits and production of audit reports as well as
follow up and closure of any non-conformance.
·
Ensure that the audit staff are properly trained in both product
and audit functions for improved audit reporting and follow ups.
·
Responsible for preparing standard practices and procedures (MPM,
including the associated procedure(s) for use within the organization and
ensuring their adequacy regarding KCAA regulations and any amendments to the
Regulation.
·
Responsible for issue /renewal/cancellation of certifying staff
authorizations
·
Responsible for coordinating action on airworthiness occurrences
and for initiating any necessary further investigation and follow-up
activities.
·
Responsible for ensuring availability and validity of
airworthiness documents required for operation of Kenya Airways flights.
·
Responsible for the management of Safety Management System within
Technical department.
·
Responsible for planning and controlling the sectional budget.
Qualifications
·
Higher National Diploma in aircraft maintenance or engineering
background, Engineering degree will be an added advantage
·
10 years’ experience in an aircraft maintenance environment, of
which 5 years have been in managing people.
·
Licensed maintenance engineer with appropriate airframe and engine
or avionics ratings
·
Must have attended quality management course recognized by the
Authority(s)
·
Demonstrated audit experience

Revenue Assurance & Quality Control – Fare Auditor

Role Purpose Statement:
To ensure company revenues, commissions and other traffic related
transactions are accurately processed, reported and billed for in accordance
with the company Accounting procedures, IATA rules and regulations and
bilateral agreements.
Responsibilities

Co-ordinate with BPO team to trace missing flights.

Co-ordinate with BPO team for resolution of queries.
