·         Organize and host meetings and provide incentives for conferences and exhibitions at the Convention Centre.
·         Develop and implement National Meetings, Incentives for Conferences and Exhibitions, in collaboration with the Tourism Board upon consultation with the relevant stakeholders.

Director Operations
JOB GRADE KICC 2 – (1POST) Ref. KICC/ DO /2018
The Director Operations reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for providing strategic leadership and advice to ensure optimal utilization and management of the Corporations resources in the functional areas of technical services, events, customer service and housekeeping.

Requirements

·         Initiate the development and review of Operations guidelines
·         Coordinate the implementation of the Operations guidelines
·         Identify, prioritize and coordinate the corporation’s operations projects
·         Develop long term and short term Plans for various operations programs /projects, and achieved agreed target in line with the corporations strategic Plan

The Principal Compliance Officer reports to the Planning Manager and is responsible for quality assurance.

Duties

·         Implementing of quality assurance policies and procedures in the Corporations;
·         Managing Departmental internal processes for compliance with the quality management system;

Principal Accountant
KICC GRADE 4 (1 POST) Ref. KICC/PA/2018
The Principal Finance & Accounts reports to the Manager Finance & Accounting and is responsible for monitoring and evaluating laid down systems, preparing management accounts and reconciliation.

Duties

·         Monitoring and evaluating the laid down systems and make recommendations for improving the financial systems;
·         Tracking the utilization of capital and operational expenditure against the approved budget and report on the same;
·         Confirming the accuracy and completeness of accounts receivables (invoicing, receipting, banking and reconciliations) and reporting on the same as appropriate;
·         Identifying and report to the Manager, Finance of any identified incidences of non-compliance with laid down financial systems and financial risks facing the Corporation;

The Internal Audit Manager reports to the Board of Directors and administratively to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for providing assurance on the Corporations internal control systems, risk management framework and the governance structure.

Duties

·         Providing the secretarial services to the Audit Committee
·         Preparing annual internal audit work plan for approval by Audit Committee of the Board;
·         Preparing and reviewing internal audit charter
·         Preparing quarterly reports on the status of implementation of the internal audit annual work plan for submission to the Audit Committee;
·         Developing and implementing an internal risk-based audit strategy;

The Technical Services Manager reports to the Director Operations and is responsible for mechanical, electrical and building repair and maintenance of building fabric, plant and equipment within the Convention Centre.

Roles

·         Provide leadership in the department to ensure that the existing installations are maintained at the acceptable optimum standards.
·         Works with the Director to implement programs and projects aimed at achieving departmental mission and long-term objectives.
·         Assists in the overall planning, organization and management of all aspects of utility operations, including general administration, budgeting, planning, and policy development.
·         To organize service activities to ensure the department’s efficient and profitable operation by satisfying customers and enhancing customer relations.

Duties

·         Job Grade KICC2 shall be appointed on a contract of five (5) years renewable once subject to performance
·         Job Grade KICC 3 shall be appointed on a contract of five (5) years renewable subject to performance.
·         Job Grade KICC 4, Job Grade KICC 5, Job Grade KICC 6 and Job Grade KICC 7 shall be appointed on permanent and pensionable terms
