Human Resources Manager

Our client in the IT industry is seeking to recruit a Human Resources Manager. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, s/he will responsible for providing guidance in the various human resource functions, which include recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring and employee counseling.

Responsibilities:

·         Participate in the development of HR goals aligned to the company business strategy.
·         Establish requisite relationships with staff and management with the view to anticipating and speedily responding to client’s needs.
·         Oversee HR administration: Ensure proper record keeping in terms of completeness and accuracy for all staff data (staff files) and all HR related matters e.g. minutes; preparation and documentation of staff contracts and administration of attendance records; leave management and keeping records pertaining to leave.
·         In charge of proper induction of new company employees
·         In charge of facilitating and coordinating training initiatives and programmers and conducting a post-interview evaluation for trainees
·         Monitor the CRM system and doing employee evaluation through the system on regular basis in the CRM
·         Manage the entire recruitment process of new staff in conjunction with the department heads i.e. processing staff requisitions, interviewing, selection, appointment, induction, documentation, reference checking etc and hire only with the management approval.
·         Support the monitor on project recruitments.
·         Responsible for development and revision of company policies and procedures
·         Responsible for developing and maintaining the company policy manuals and handbooks
·         Responsible for ensuring adherence to policies regarding pertinent issues such as claims, discipline, leave, transition etc.
·         In charge of staff welfare and welfare related initiatives; organizing for group activities and events and disseminating information regarding staff and related matters.
·         In charge of industrial and labour relations and handling labour related issues.
·         In charge of manpower provision for the relevant teams as per requirements and daily attendance reports.
·         Identify and implement visible career paths and viable succession planning activities
·         Develop departments to become large and independent entities in the company.
·         Responsible for laying down health, safety and security policies and procedures; ensuring proper adherence to laid down standards of safety and security for workers and administration of medical insurance for relevant staff
·         Responsible for personnel financial management policy for the company
·         Manage work place relations, rewarding schemes, employee benefits & welfare schemes and employments contracts
·         Support the payroll process by ensuring that correct data is provided to finance department
·         Perform other related duties as required / assigned

Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources.
·         Relevant HR certifications.
·         Over 5 years of relevant work experience in senior management.

Creative Designer
A Medium-sized PR agency based in Nairobi is looking for a Designer to provide all the creative art solutions for clients and in house.

Responsibilities

·         Develop Print and graphical artworks for clients.
·         Assist Client service/PR department by developing Graphical artworks and video content for various social media campaigns for various clients.
·         Updating the company website.
·         Building a creative environment and overseeing ideas and projects.
·         Developing ideas for advertising or promotional campaigns and pitching concepts for clients.
·         Overseeing several projects from start to finish, keeping to deadlines, and signing off on these projects before they are presented.
·         Liaising with clients to keep them informed and to highlight any issues.
·         Understanding the commercial aspects of the agency or business development department.

Operations Manager
Our client in the IT industry is seeking to recruit an Operations Manager. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, s/he will provide leadership in developing management strategies and systems for achievement of all operations objectives. The Manager will oversee the business operations to ensure all project objectives and deliverables are achieved on time and on budget.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Management
·         Project planning: develop specific timelines for projects to deliver an accurate budget.
·         Creating and executing project work plans and revising them as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
·         Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities to self and project team towards achievement of objectives.
·         Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects, scope of work and coordinating project reporting.
·         Review deliverables prepared by team, conduct quality control and analysis before passing to client.
·         Document all project workflows and deliverables for easier follow up, coordination, maintenance and support.
·         Design, develop and implement sound programmatic solutions to clients with no supervision.
·         Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and installation problems.
·         Resolve and /or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
·         Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
·         Effectively apply company methodology and enforce project standards.
·         Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
·         Identify and minimizes exposure and risk on project.
·         Ensure project documents are complete, updated, and stored appropriately.
·         Track and report team hours and expenses on a weekly basis.
·         Manage project budget.
·         Ensure customer documents i.e. completion certificates, job card, delivery notes are all issued & signed by project completion.
IT Products/Services Management
·         Provide network access to all staff
·         Make recommendations to management on the purchase of technology resources
·         Monitor security of all technology in use
·         Ensure that the computers, FingertTec Scanners, Cameras and their softwares are at all times well configured and in good working condition.
·         Provide assistance in project implementation and system deployment
·         Technical support to end-users
·         Liaison with vendors and services providers
·         Engage in practical research and initiate ideas that promote system availability & performance
·         Take ownership and responsibility of all technical, planning, operational and security issues concerning the LAN and systems
·         Assess the quality and reliability of existing hardware, software, operating systems and network components that comprise the LAN, and make recommendations for upgrade or replacement where necessary on routine basis
·         Ensure that the electronic mail capabilities of the server are operational at peak performance at all times.
Team Leadership and Management
·         Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the management team
·         Undertake annual staff performance reviews;
·         Ensure that procedures are properly documented.
·         Ensure that time attendance and execution of duties is at optimum in the department
·         Ensure that staff leave is well managed and allocated
·         Facilitate project teams and client meetings effectively
·         Hold regular status meetings with project team
·         Effectively communicate relevant project information to management

Qualifications

·         University degree in the field of Business Management or Information Technology
·         Certifications in Project Management.
·         MCSE, CCNA, CISCO, CITRIX certifications preferred.
Desired Attributes:
·         Seven (7) years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
