Registered Nurse I

Registered Nurse I (ICU) – JOB GROUP “L” (3 POSTS)

Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:-
·         Assessing, planning and implementing nursing interventions and evaluating patients’ outcome; diagnosing common health conditions;

·         Providing appropriate healthcare service including Integrated Management of Childhood illness(IMCI), Integrated Management of Adolescent and Adulthood illness ( IMAI), Immunization and reproductive health.
·         Providing health education and counseling to patients/clients and community on identified health needs;
·         Referring patients and clients appropriately;
·         Facilitating patients’ admission and initiating discharge plans
·         Maintaining records on patients/clients health condition and care
·         Ensuring a tidy and safe clinical environment.
·         Collecting and collating data for research,
·         Planning, implementing interventions and preparing reports
·         Identifying occupational health needs and making appropriate recommendations

Requirements

·         Served in the grade of Registered Nurse I for a minimum period of three (3) years.
·         Higher Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Registered Anesthetic Nursing, Kenya Registered Ophthalmology Nursing, Kenya Registered Pediatric Nursing, Kenya Registered Critical Care Nursing, Kenya Registered Accident& Emergency Nursing, Kenya Registered Neonatal Nursing, Kenya Registered Nephrology Nursing, Kenya Registered Palliative Nursing, or any other equivalent qualification from recognized institution.
·         Registered Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
·         Valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya
·         Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution and,
·         Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.


Registered Clinical Officer III
JOB GROUP “H” (20 POSTS)

Responsibilities

An officer under this level will work under guidance of a senior officer.
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:
·         Taking history, examining, diagnosing and treating patients’ common ailments at an outpatient or inpatient health facility.
·         Community health Care activities in liaison with other health worker; guiding and counseling patients/clients and staff on health issues;
·         Sensitizing patients and clients on preventive and promote health;
·         Carrying out minor surgical procedures as per training and skill;
·         Collecting and compiling clinical data and
·         Referring patients and clients to appropriate health facilities.

Requirements

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-
·         Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or Clinical Medicine and Community Health from recognized institution;
·         Certificate of Registration from the Clinical Officers’ Council and
·         Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized institution


Village Administrator
(MABESHENI/MTAA VILLAGE UNITIN KASEMENI WARD) – JOB GROUP „H‟ (1 POST) RE-ADVERTISMENT)

Requirements

·         Be a Kenyan Citizen
·         Have a minimum of a Secondary School Certificate
·         Have professional qualifications and technical knowledge in administration or management and
·         You must be a resident of Mabesheni/Mtaa Village Unit
·         Working experience of not less than three years
·         Satisfy the requirement of Chapter Six of the Constitution

Responsibilities

A village administrator shall be responsible to the relevant Ward Administrator for;
·         Coordinating managing and supervising the general administrative functions in the Village Unit
·         Ensuring and coordinating the participation of the Village Unit in governance
·         Assisting the Village Unit to develop the administrative capacity for the effective exercise of its functions, powers and participations in governance at the local level.
·         Exercising any functions and powers delegated by the County Public Service Board.

Responsibilities

This is the entry and training grade for certificate holders. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of an experienced officer. Duties and responsibilities will entail;
·         Participating in the provision of fisheries extension services;
·         Collecting fisheries statistical data
·         Maintaining fish farms and hatcheries and
·         Assisting in ensuring hygiene fish handling at fish landing sites, markets and farms

Requirements

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have;-
·         Certificate in either Fisheries management, Natural Resource Management or an equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution; and
·         Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution


Livestock Production Assistant II
JG „G‟ (8 POSTS) RE-ADVERTISMENT

Responsibilities

This is the entry and training grade for this grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer.
Duties and responsibilities will entail;-
·         collecting livestock data and information;
·         doing extension teams during farm visits and farmer training,
·         participating in field days and agricultural shows to disseminate livestock production technologies
·         carrying out practical demonstrations on livestock production technologies and techniques

Requirements

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have either of the below listed certificate from a recognized institution
·         Animal Health and Production
·         Dairy Technology
·         Animal science/production
·         Apiculture
·         Range management
·         A certificate in computer applications
