Role Description
The core of your job is to support managers in ensuring that Penda Values and Culture are present in our staff’s every day work & our policies, systems and procedures are being implemented in a fair and collaborative process across Penda. If you nail your job, you will have made a huge contribution to Penda’s dream of being the BEST employer in Africa. In addition, our employees will be more motivated and focused to helping Penda achieve its Vision of being the most trusted healthcare provider in Africa sooner!

Responsibilities:

Onboarding & Organizational Culture: We have a beautiful Culture and our employees fall in love with it from the very moment of submitting their CV applications.
·      You will ensure all new Penda staff are onboarded to our organizational values, systems, policies, and practices
·      You will organize continuous staff training sessions on our values and culture for existing staff and managers.
Employee Discipline: The core purpose of our disciplinary sessions is to help our employees know there is always room to improve, it’s OK to fail, we shall put 100% effort to support them be better!
·      You will work with managers to support effectively and timely resolution to all employee queries and/or issues in a transparent, timely and fair process.
·      You will be a partner in helping managers proactively identify issues before they manifest and follow Penda policies to resolve issues ensuring all Penda staff are performing at their best.
Performance Management: We challenge and support our staff to do work way above their formal training. For this to happen consistently, we believe our performance review sessions & monthly coaching sessions are platforms where staff should leave motivated and rejuvenated.
·      Your work will be collaborating with our managers on how to prepare effectively for a performance review or monthly coaching sessions and support managers to run motivating and engaging meetings that increase performance.
·      You will be responsible for ensuring all reviews are completed and filed appropriately in accordance with Penda policy.

·      You will be responsible and work closely with managers to ensure they are consistently supporting their team to maximize performance toward organizational objectives. From addressing areas of concern that arise in the performance cycle to consulting on learning strategies coaching and support throughout the year.
Policy Creation and Management: We strongly believe our policies are there as guidelines when we are not sure on how to handle a process/procedure in our day to day roles and not just as a tool to let employees go when they are not successful at their jobs!
·      You will offer advisory support to our managers and staff on how to best interpret and implement our policies and procedures.
·      You will support departments across Penda in the creation and development of Penda Policies and procedures and organize for refresher trainings on the same.

Requirements:

·      Patient, tactful, diplomatic and approachable.
·      Loves talking with and learning about people.
·      Highly organized and detailed with excellent communication skills.
·      A creative thinker who works well as part of a team.
·      Available full time & strong computer skills.
·      2 years working in people related departments (or as a manager!).
·      Having directly worked with managers from a HR perspective is an added advantage.
 Package:
·      Starting salary depends on experience and abilities
·      Ongoing salary is determined by performance and attitude
