Job Description:

·         Work at this level will entail planning, coordinating and controlling administrative activities in any of the assigned unit(s) of the University College;
·         is expected to work with minimum supervision and also be responsible for coaching of staff under him/her in order to provide and maintain efficient administrative services.

·         A Masters Degree in Management or Administration from a recognized University:
·         Served at least ten (10) years in administration:
·         CPS III and/or any other relevant management/administrative qualification will be an added advantage.

Procurement Officer

Job Description:

·         Work at this level will include examining of the established stores units at Faculty/departmental level to determine;
·         the quantities of supplies held and their numerical relationship to bin cards, stock ledgers, computer printout of stock levels and maximum and minimum stock levels; apparent conditions of the supplies held;
·         operating procedures and documents in use and their conformity with the prescribed regulations;
·         Maintenance of stores catalogue; specifically, advising schools/faculties and user departments on proper procedures in supplies procurement and management and the required remedial action
·         supervision of supplies and stores staff.

Job Specification/Requirements:

·         A Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Commerce/Business Management (Supplies Management option) or its equivalent from a recognized University;
·         Attended senior management course(s) lasting for not less than six weeks;
·         Eight (8) years relevant work experience;
·         Registered as a member of Kenya Institute of Supplies Management;
·         A CIPS qualification;
·         A Masters Degree will be an added advantage.

Job Description:

·         An officer at this level will be in charge of the Audit Unit in the University College.
·         Specifically, work include audit assignments;
·         making reports to the Principal and examining payment schedules and preparing audit programmes and supervision of staff in the Unit.

·         To qualify, a candidate Must have: A Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business from a recognized University Administration;
·         CPA (K) and 5 years, three (3) of which Must be at the Level of Internal Auditor II;
·         Knowledge of financial and other related regulations of the University; Demonstrate ability to supervise and develop staff;
·         a practical knowledge of ICT applications; and Registered with ICPAK.

Job Description

·         Work at this level involves, organization and management of accounting units, directing, controlling and coordinating of both routine and non-routine accounting matters;
·         Interpreting financial policies, budgetary control system, management accounting methods and monthly/quarterly financial returns.
·         Specific responsibilities include advising on all financial policies as well as ensuring that sound accounting principles and controls are applied on financial transactions.
·         Train, develop and supervise staff for high efficiency in accounting and related services.

Job Specification/Requirements:

·         A Masters such as MBA in Commerce/Business Management (in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration options) or its equivalent from a recognized University;
·         A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business from a recognized University Administration; CPA (K) and Nine (9) years’ experience, three (3) of which Must be at the level of Accountant I;
·         Knowledge of financial and other related regulations of the University;

Job Description:

·         Work at this level will be responsible for Management of Information Communication and Technologies (ICTs) at the University Community.
·         Specifically, responsibilities will involve formulation of ICTs policies, planning and management of information systems, database management;
·         decision support systems (DDS);
·         office support systems (OSS) to support and deliver electronic
·         information to end-users, networking services, supervision of staff, budget formulation; and coordination of automation activities within the University Library Services.

Job Specification/Requirements:

·         A first degree and a Masters degree in Library and Information Sciences or its equivalent qualification from a recognized University;
·         Five (5) years’ working experience in a well-established and automated library/information centre at the level of Senior Librarian II or its equivalent; Published at least three (3) articles in refereed journals or a book;
·         Attendance to seminars/workshops on modern Information Resources management.
