Accounts & Administrative Assistant
Farm Africa’s goal is to reduce poverty and food insecurity. We work with African smallholder farmers, pastoralists and forest-based communities to develop innovative approaches and use proven new technologies to make sustainable improvements to their livelihood activities through more effective management of their natural resources.
The project is based on empowering
the targeted farmers to access better market opportunities, by training farmers
on good farming practices and achieving Organic and Fair Trade certification in
selected value chains (primarily cashew nuts, secondarily sesame and eventual
additional ones to be identified).
Responsibilities

This will provide youth, women and
men the incentive to commit to agricultural production, and will as a
consequence improve their economic stability, and reduce their vulnerability to
drought and other natural severities.
The project will focus specifically
on empowering marginalised groups in the cashew and sesame value chains through
further training on livelihood diversification.
Farm Africa Kenya is currently
looking for Accounts and Administrative Assistant.
Responsibilities

The objective of this role is to
ensure proper books of account are maintained in the Farm Africa V4
(Enhancement of livelihoods in the Kenyan Coastal Region by supporting Organic
and Fair Trade certification of smallholders) project.
·
Support the project in procurement,
administrative, office management, Asset management at field office, logistics,
IT and fleet management related roles.
