Factory Operations Assistants
Location: Kiambu
Our client is a mini-dairy processing
plant dealing with milk products.
They seek to hire a milk factory
operations officer
Duties and Responsibilities
·
Receiving and testing milk quality
and standards
·
Taking the milk through the various
processing stages using the different machinery
·
Supervising Correct cleaning and
handling of machines and other factory equipment
·
Ensuring proper CIP SOPs are observed
·
Management of water boiler
·
Examine work orders and work with
equipment operators
·
Maintain equipment logs on the milk
processed and milk tests
·
Keep record documents for equipment
·
Maintain proper milk records
·
Adherence of Quality control Sops
·
Coordinate efforts with other staff
involved in processing and sale of the milk products
·
Adhere to clean and hygienic
standards by keeping work stations clean
·
Performs preventive/predictive
maintenance procedures
·
Compiling of reports for various
projects
·
Any other duties as assigned
Qualification & Skills
·
Certificate/ Diploma in food science,
dairy management-with a biases in value addition and processing or related
field or at least two years’ experience in a milk factory (N:B No applications
by degree holders applicants will be accepted for this position)
·
Must have relevant experience and
training in milk & hygiene handling background.
·
Relevant experience in milk &
yoghurt processing
·
Must be or above 23 years old
·
Two years’ experience in Milk
factories
·
Basic computer skills and internet
access
·
Strong and effective written and
verbal communication skills
·
Well-developed technical
communication skills
·
Ability to maintain detailed,
accurate records, and prepare necessary reports
·
Must ready to work shifts

Purpose: The job holder ensures achievement of
maximum sales profitability and growth within the assigned route and/or market
segment by effectively selling the company’s products.

1. Route 1: Garden estate, Thome, Marurui, Balozi, Zimmerman,
Kahawa west, Githurai, Kahawa Wendani, Kahawa Sukari, K.U, Juja,
2. Route 2: Nairobi CBD, Westlands, Ngara, Pangani, Parklands,
Muthaiga
3. Route 3: Thindigua, Kiambu, Kiringiti, Kangoya, Ndumberi, Ruaka,
Banana, Mucatha
4. Route 4: SuperMarkets ; Quick Mart, Tuskys, Carrefour Kenya,
Choppies, Naivas, Kamindi Supermarket, Clean Shelf Super Market

Key
responsibilities
·
Generating sales opportunities by
identifying appropriate business targets
·
Providing a professional and
excellent level of customer service with existing and new customers.
·
Ensure timely sale of fresh milk and
yoghurt to customers and distributors
·
Research to identify customers,
sector opportunities and maintain existing ones to increase customer base
·
Sales and crates collection from
distributors and customers
·
Research on competitor market and
monitor trends in sales e.g. arrangement of company products in supermarket
shelves
·
Advise on any new methods to help
increase sales
·
Attend to customer enquiries and
queries and escalate to the head of sales if necessary
·
Issue receipts and deliveries to
distributors and customers
·
Pass messages and information to
customers; deliver handouts of price changes to customers
·
Take daily orders from customers and
distributors in the assigned route
·
Collect returns and cheques from
supermarkets and sign GRN documents and invoices
·
Collect banking slips from
distributors and ensure submission to the accounts office
·
Submit fresh milk and yoghurt returns
to the vetting office and ensure signing of the return book on a daily basis
Minimum
Requirements
·
Certificate or a diploma in Sales and
Marketing (Or at least 2years experience in sales of Fresh Milk) N.B No degree
level applicant will be considered for this position
·
Certificate of Good Conduct
·
Must have experience in a busy F.M.C.G
·
Flexible working hours
Remuneration: Salaries for sales persons will be a monthly retainer and a
commission percentage of the liters of milk sold per month
