Revenue & Billing Officer
Purpose of the Position
Reporting to the Finance and
Administration Manager, the Revenue and Billing Officer is expected to provide
commercial and managerial leadership and expert assistance to guide,
coordinate, manage and monitor the Uyoma West Water, Supply and sanitation
financial operations.
The incumbent should have excellent
leadership skills, confidentiality, initiative, and independent judgment in
supporting the design, implementation of UWWASCO operations.
The revenue/Billing officer is
responsible for providing updated and financial supervisory direction as
regards billing and revenue collection as well as guidance to the UWWASCO water
clients to ensure that UWWASCO adheres to the terms and condition of the water
regulators, partner agreements and are achieving the development impact and
result that are expected.
The revenue/Billing officer works
collaboratively and proactively with the financial administration manager.
Job summary
Plan, direct and coordinate
commercial operations under the broad guidance of the Finance and
Administration Manager and in consultation with the management Team. The
incumbent shall be part of the Commercial Department.
Responsibilities
·
Managing and supervising commercial
aspects of the company operations particularly as they relate to revenue
generation and collection.
·
Forecast and communicate regularly
and in time the financial status of the company and report any anomaly to the
Finance and Administration Manager promptly for action.
·
Develop long term business
strategies, focused and operating plans that reflect the long term goals and
priorities.
·
Ensure the provision of comprehensive
commercial information systems including up to date customer data base to
achieve the overall company objectives
·
Ensure timely, complete and accurate
reading and billing of services and subsequent revenue collection.
·
Carrying out customer survey and
proposing improvement arriving from feedback received
·
Establishing and maintaining system
for positive customer relations
·
Ensure credit control and collection
of outstanding water debts in an orderly and timely fashion.
·
Ensure water tariffs are reviewed as
appropriate and changes communicated to relevant audience.
·
Organize logistics for visits by
stakeholders e.g. Donors, County government, Board etc.
·
Ensure customer complaints are
tracked and effectively addressed
·
Perform any other duty as may be
assigned
Requirement
·
At least CPA I or equivalent
accounting qualification. Diploma in Business Management/ Administration with
knowledge of accounts will be an added advantage.
·
At least 2 years working experience
in a similar capacity.
·
Must possess impeccable computer skills
e.g. Excel, Word, Power point, Internet etc. Must be Self-driven and motivated
to meet strict deadlines and able to multi-task.

Must be Customer oriented with good
leadership and communication skills.
·
Excellent presentation, organization,
networking and collaboration skills.
Technical Manager
Purpose of Position
Reporting to the General Manager, the
Technical Manager is expected to provide technical and managerial leadership
and expert assistance to guide, coordinate, manage and monitor the Uyoma West
Water, Supply and Sanitation activities, he/she must interact with a range of
relevant partners involved in the sector, maintain oversight of the overall
sector impacts and ensure the efficient use of company resources.
The incumbent should have excellent
leadership skills, initiative and independent judgment in supporting the
design, implementation, operations & maintenance, monitoring and evaluation
of UWWASCO operations.
The WASH Technical Manager is
responsible for providing technical and supervisory direction as well as
managerial guidance to the UWWASCO water staff and contractors to ensure that
UWWASCO adheres to the terms and conditions of the water regulators, partner
agreements, and are achieving the development impact and results that are
expected. The Technical manager works collaboratively and proactively with
other technical experts in the industry.
Job summary
Direct, Co-ordinate, control and
manage the Company’s Operations and Maintenance of Infrastructure and Equipment
in order to supply Water and Sanitation Services to the residents of Uyoma West
and its environs effectively and efficiently. The incumbent will be the lead of
the Technical Department.
Responsibilities
·
Responsible for the overall
supervision to ensure proper functioning of the technical Department and its
personnel ensuring that the duties are carried out in accordance with the
company’s policies.
·
Maintain and improve on the current
sources of water, ensure regular and reliable water services delivery
consistent with the available water resources; minimize water losses through
regular preventive maintenance of the service delivery infrastructure.
·
Investigate new sources of water and
prepare plans to develop these sources to improve service delivery, monitor, on
a regular basis, service delivery against planned indicators.
·
Provide strategic advice for
technical planning initiatives within the organization.
·
Maintain water production and
inventory on reported leakage register and ensure necessary action is taken
promptly in collaboration with the technical team on the ground.
·
Device ways to enhance on water
production and reduction of Non-Revenue Water (NRW), design and implement sound
maintenance schedule of the system, coordinate installation of new collections
and reconnections exercise, coordinate and develop strategy on eradication of
illegal mal-practices in the field.
·
Prepare reports and key policy
documents for discussion with relevant stake holders, participate in resource
mobilization activities, budgeting and strategic planning.
·
Preparation of proper documents for works.
Prepare and submit proposal to donors for funding of projects within the
company’s area of jurisdiction. Supervising operations and maintenance staff,
and ensuring water quality and standards are met.

Be an ambassador for the company in
both internal and external capacity building trainings for staff and the larger
community.

Perform any other duty as may be
assigned from time to time
Requirements
·
At least a Diploma/Degree in
civil/water engineering. Knowledge of AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
·
Impeccable computer skills e.g.
Excel, Word, Power point, Internet etc.
·
At least 3 years working experience 1
of which must be in a senior management position preferably in a water
enterprise or a similar environment.
·
Must be Self-driven and motivated to
meet tight deadlines and to multi-task.
·
Excellent presentation, organization,
networking and collaboration skills.
