REA Vipingo Plantations Ltd, is the leading
sisal producer in East Africa and operates large scale Estates in Kenya and
Tanzania.
The Company invites applications from
suitably qualified Kenyan citizens to fill the position of Junior Production Supervisor, reporting to the
Production Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
·
Monitor
land preparation, upkeep and harvesting activities
·
Ensure
that the tasks assigned are effectively performed to the required standards and
specifications.
·
Supervise
the head person’s assignments; and present daily work reports to the
Management.
·
Ensure
that Safety & Health regulations are followed and enforce the use of
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
·
Ensure
disciplinary matters among employees at work stations are handled appropriately
and promptly.
Qualification and Experience:
·
Relevant
Degree in Agriculture from a recognized University.
·
At
least three (3) years working experience in a busy agricultural field setup.
·
Aged
25 years and above.
·
Able
to work with minimal supervision.
·
Knowledge
of Safety & Health matters is necessary.
·
Experience
on Sisal and Horticulture will be an added advantage.
The

the position of Electrical Supervisor, reporting to the Technical Manager.
Job
Purpose: The Estates have major electrical
installations to supply large scale factory machinery.
Apart
from regular maintenance and repair there is a constant development programme
which requires new internal electrical supplies to be planned and installed.
Key
Responsibilities:
1.
Overall responsibility for service
schedules and repair work.
2.
Planning and design of new electrical
systems.
3.
Energy efficiency planning and
systems implementation. Will be required to sit on the Energy committee and
Health & Safety committee.
Qualifications
and Experience:
1.
Relevant Degree in Electrical
Engineering from a recognized University. Or a diploma in Electrical
Engineering with (10) three years’ experience
2.
Valid electrician Licence, Class A or
B
3.
Aged 35 years and above.
4.
Able to organize a team of personnel
and maintain work standards.
5.
Knowledge of Safety & Health
matters is necessary and Health & Safety statutory training required.
6.
Experience on equivalent large scale
operations will be an added advantage.
7.
MUST be a member of good standing
with a relevant professional body.
