Essential Requirements:
- Diploma in
relevant field (social sciences, development studies, community
development)
- Minimum 2
years of relevant work experience in project management, business or
closely related field, with financial responsibilities.
- Report
writing.
- Strong writing
and communication skills in English and Kiswahili
- Proven
leadership, management, interpersonal, decision making and analytical
skills.
- Ability to
work with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in
computer usage especially Microsoft packages.
- Preferably
must have worked in communities around Lake Victoria region – Homabay
county
Desired Qualities:
- Experience in
research, health or development organization.
- Ability to
collaborate with counterparts, including GOK line ministries, NGOs,
community-based organizations.
- Community
engagement skills.
- Training in
project management will be an added advantage.
Major Duties and
Responsibilities
- Perform
Administrative duties, including property management, travel and
transportation, report preparation and submission
- Budget
preparation and analysis, proper management of petty cash and facilitate
request and receipt surrenders
- Coordinate
program and administrative activities including liaising with the local
communities in order to ensure achievement of objectives in time and
within an agreed budget.
- Manage and
track program budgets with regular production of financial reports
- Ensure timely
production and delivery of high quality programmatic outputs such as
reports.
- Perform all
other requested duties.
Terms of Employment:
1-year Contract, renewable with availability of funds
Probation period for the first 3 months.
Compensation is negotiable within a relevant grade, based on educational levels, relevant experience and demonstrated competency.
