Job Summary: We are hiring a medical laboratory technologist to serve at the Lab Superintendent role.  

This candidate is required to proficiently analyze medical samples in the laboratory and follow standard MLS methodologies. 

He/she should also keep accurate records that meet the requirements of the accreditation bodies and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities
·                     Processes all tests at our Hub clinic laboratory as per laboratory guidelines and protocols.
·                     Keep thorough records of activities performed in the laboratory.
·                     Inspect and analyze in-coming supplies to the laboratory to ensure that the laboratory only receives the best quality supplies.
·                     Oversees and maintains lab quality standards at all spoke clinic
·                     Inducts and trains regularly clinical staff on Laboratory methods
·                     Leads laboratory’s management reviews, quality evaluations; offer suggestions, feedbacks or any information that will assist the laboratory to continually improve.
·                     Evaluate, compile and present results of analysis for easy interpretation by patients.
·                     Manage laboratory equipment as per the prevailing protocols. This covers observing servicing schedules, Quality controls, safe use, storage and disposal of hazardous chemicals so as to prevent injuries to personnel as well as prevent damage to equipment, facilities and to safeguard the environment.
·                     Monitor the requirements of the laboratory and proactively request needed supplies, research new lab options, and recommend upgrades.
·                     Maintain a clean and safe work environment, and take pride in your clinic.
Access Afya’s micro-clinics are lean and compact spaces. 

In addition to running our lab, you will be interacting with the community and our patients. This includes:
·                     Welcoming and registering clients as they walk in.
·                     Assisting when necessary with patient follow-up calls and coordination.
·                     Participate in outreach events in the community.
·                     Talk to patients and communicate their wants, needs, compliments, and complaints to the whole Access Afya team.
Skills and Experience
·                     Computer Literacy

·                     Diploma or degree in medical laboratory sciences with over 5 years of experience
·                     Proficient in laboratory operations.
·                     Registered with Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians & Technologist Board

Job Summary: We are hiring a Pharmacy Technician who will be responsible for managing medication distribution within Access Afya pharmacies and provide drug information and education to patients. 

He/she should have complete understanding and appreciation for the use and side effects of prescription and non-prescription drugs used to treat common disease states.

He/She must demonstrate ethical conduct and maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Key Responsibilities
·                     Responsible for selling and advising members of the community about over the counter medicines, cosmetics, hygiene products, and the management of minor ailments and healthy lifestyles
·                     Label and dispense prescribed medicines and provide information and advice to patients about how to use their medicines
·                     Responsible for ordering, labeling and counting stock of medications, chemicals and supplies, and enter inventory data in the computer
·                     Responsible for receiving and storing incoming supplies, verifying quantities against invoices and informing the Medical Director of stock needs and shortages
·                     Accountable for maintaining knowledge and staying abreast of all the changes that occur in the Pharmaceutical field
