Jaqanaz Resort (JR) is an upcoming 3 star hotel located in Narumoru town. 

We are seeking to recruit competent staff for the following position:

Operations Manager (HR, Admin and General Operations) 
 
Reporting to the Board of Management, this position serves to address all operational aspects including HR, Finance, Food production and service, and administration needs of the hotel.

He/she will be responsible for the overall planning and day to day operations of the hotel.

Job Specification

  • A diploma in Business Administration / Human Resource or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • 2 years of progressive experience. Experience in a hotel institution is a must. 
  • Demonstrated a high degree of professional competence in operations / HR / administration and general oversight  matters and administrative capability in work performance and results.

Food and Beverage Asst. Manager
 
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Food and Beverage Manager will manage the day to day food & beverage operations of the Jaqanaz Resort in a professional manner.

Job Specifications:
  • A Diploma in hotel management or related field from a recognized training institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years progressive experience in the Hospitality Industry preferably in a similar role.
  • Have great verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be proactive.
  • Possess excellent forecasting and budgeting skills.
  • Work well with colleagues.
  • Have a good understanding of inventory management systems.
  • Must have attention to detail

Accountant
 
Reporting to the Operations Manager this position serves to address all accounting needs of the Hotel.

Job Specification
  • CPA finalist
  • 2 years of progressive experience. Experience in a hotel institution will be an added   advantage. 
  • Demonstrated a high degree of professional competence in financial matters and administrative capability in work performance and results.

Marketing Executive 
 
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Marketing Executive will be responsible for managing Jaqanaz Resort’s sales and marketing activities. 

Job Specifications:
  • Diploma in Marketing or a related major.
  • 2 years experience
  • Additional training on brand and product management, sales management and evaluation, marketing communication, market research, telemarketing, direct sales and organizational communication will be an added advantage
  • Excellent writing, interpersonal and public-speaking skills
  • Must be an effective leader, strong negotiator and avid problem-solvers
  • Demonstrate a track record assembly and execution of sales and marketing plans, achieving revenue targets and running campaigns from start to finish
  • Abilities to manage different projects simultaneously, facilitate group meetings and motivate team members
Front Office Supervisor 
 
Reporting to the operations manager, this position serves to oversee, supervise and control the reception, registration and room allocation of all guests.

Job Specifications:
  • A Diploma in Front Office Operations
  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel of similar or above the Jaqanaz Resort classification.
  • Friendly, social and pleasant personality
  • Be able to motivate and lead a team.
  • Excellent time-keeping and communication skills
  • A good team player who builds and maintains good relationships with all team members
Receptionists 
 
Reporting to the Front Office Supervisor this position will deliver a friendly, efficient customer service and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all Jaqanaz Resort guests, with the key aim of retaining and attracting new customers.

Job Specification
  • A Diploma in Front Office Operations
  • Friendly, social and pleasant personality
  • Be able to work unsupervised in a busy environment
  • Excellent time-keeping and communication skills
  • A good team player who builds and maintains good relationships with all team members
Store Keeper 
 
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the incumbent will be in-charge of inventory management in the hotel. 
Job Specification:
  • A diploma in Store Keeping from a recognized institution
  • 2  years work experience in the hospitality industry
  • Team player
  • Experience in stock taking or knowledge in food & beverage
  • Ability to co-operate, be service-minded and be willing to resume responsibility
  • Good organizational and communication skills
Food and Beverage Controller 
 
Reporting to the accountant, the cashier will collect all monies paid by clients.

Job specification;
 
The holder must possess; 
  • CPA 1
  • Certificate of good conduct
  • Good book keeping skills
  • Computer proficiency with experience of micros, Fidelio, materials control etc.

Chef 
 
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Chef will be responsible for planning and directing food preparation in a kitchen.
Job Specifications:
  • Diploma in Food production
  • 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team whilst undertaking a leadership role
  • Demonstrate an up to date and in depth understanding of the industry.
  • Uncompromising in achieving company standards.
  • Excellent communication skills
Cooks 
 
Reporting to the chef the cook will ensure that food is produced according to set standards.

Job Specification:
  • The cook must have 3 years of experience in a busy hotel kitchen.
  • Certificate in food production will be an added advantage.
  • A medical certificate from a government health facility.
Waiters 
 
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the incumbent will be in-charge of taking orders and serve the food and beverage ordered by the guest while ensuring service is provided to the guest satisfaction and Jaqanaz Resort standard.

Job Specification:
  • A holder of at least a C in KCSE
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Demonstrated a high degree of professional competence and customer care skills

Room Attendants 
 
Reporting to the Front office Supervisor, the incumbent will be in-charge of maintaining good guest relations and cleanliness of the hotel rooms. 

Job Specification:
  • A holder of at least a D+ in KCSE
  • Certificate course on good communication skills
  • Organisational skills
  • Demonstrated a high degree of professional competence and customer care skills
Doorman
 
You are like a one –person welcome committee; making the guests feel welcome during their stay. 

You are also the go-to- for what’s happening and getting there. 

You know the area by heart and guide guests with efficient ease. 

With energy to spare and a passion to please, someone with your talent would do well as a Guest Ambassador for Jaqanaz resort.
