Our client is a rapidly
growing none deposit taking microfinance company seeks to appoint a suitably
qualified & dedicated individual to assume the responsibility of Finance
Manager.
The position will report to
the Chief Executive Officer and will oversee financial reporting, budgeting,
revenue growth and diversification, liquidity strategy and tax reporting.

- Chief Finance
and Investments advisor to the Chief Executive Officer and Management.
- Provide
leadership in the development and continuous evaluation of short and long
term strategic financial objectives.
- Ensure
achievement of the overall financial and investment goals of the
Organization.
- Lead
development of finance and investment strategies for the Organization.
- Lead the
development of a sound budgeting and budgetary control framework.
- Conduct
training on the budgetary process for all budget holders.
- Monitor
budgetary performance highlighting key variances for Management action,
and advising on financial trends and forecasts.
- Lead revenue
growth and diversification initiatives including evaluating and advising
on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new
programs/strategies and regulatory actions.
- Monitor
performance of the Organization including revenue growth patterns and
productivity.
- Oversee
development of effective internal controls in the areas of finance and
investment.
- Identify
sources of surplus funds for investment and/or to meet shortages; placing
and monitoring investment offers.
- Establish and
maintain strong relationships with external financiers to raise funds for
the organization.
- Maintenance of
financial records and ensure statutory compliance with requirements.
- Oversee
financial activities, Treasury and Cash Management including periodic
forecasting and reporting on revenue generation.
- Asset
Management through maintenance of a fixed Asset Register of the
Organization’s assets.
- Provide
recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and
business opportunities, policies and regulatory laws for financial and tax
reporting.
- Coordinate both
internal and external audits and documentation required.
- Signatory for
cheques and authorization of electronic funds transfers.
Requirements:
- Bachelors’
degree in Accounting or Finance
- Certified
Public Accountant (K) or ACCA or Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
- Knowledge of
generally accepted accounting principles and regulatory /statutory
requirements
- At least 5
years of progressive financial responsibility as a team leader
- Proficiency in
ICT with strong MS Office, internet and Accounting packages
- Proficiency in
quantitative analysis techniques
- Ability to
interact effectively with all levels of Management and Stakeholders
- Analytical,
critical thinking, planning, organization, leadership, and problem solving
skills
- Team player who
demonstrates confidentiality, integrity, objectivity, and ability to lead
and make firm and clear decisions
- Possess
strategic insight, detail oriented and strong strategic planner
