Finance & Administration Manager
Our client is a private quality certification company with presence in 14 African countries across the African continent. The company combines local knowledge with expertise to provide competitive and impartial product and process assurance services to producers and processors locally, regionally and internationally for market access and sustainability.
To support its growth agenda, the company is seeking to appoint a Finance and Administration Manager. This is a senior management role in a medium sized company, hence strategic in the growth of the company. The position reports to the Chief Executive Officer.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on and participative manager. S/he will develop and lead an internal team to support the following areas: finance, business planning and budgeting, human resources, administration, and IT.

Responsibilities

·         Ensuring effective financial accounting and reporting
·         Financial budgeting and forecasting
·         Overseeing the HR function of the company
·         Developing the human resources capacity by enhancing professional development, compensation and benefits, performance evaluation, training and recruitment
·         Overseeing administration, logistics and IT

Requirements

·         A Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent.
·         Qualified accountant with CPA (K) or ACCA.
·         A diploma in Human Resource Management will be an added advantage.
·         Over five years of post-qualification experience in financial management with at least 3 years in a senior position at a reputable organisation with a minimum annual turnover of $ 1.5 million.
·         Great communication skills
·         Ability to think independently and innovatively to solve problems
·         Working knowledge of the Agricultural sector is desirable.
·         Competence in IT
