The
Ministry of Education has received financing from the World Bank toward the
cost of the Kenya GPE Primary Education Development (PRIEDE) Project, and
intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services for Chief
Information Officer
Job Summary: The Chief Information Officer will lead teams across the State Department of Education in planning and implementing ministry-wide ICT-enhanced information systems to support distributed and centralized business operations of the ministry with a view to realizing effective, efficient and cost-beneficial operations in all areas.
The candidate must have undergraduate and post-graduate qualifications in an la-related field; and must have not less than 10 years in la-related work experience.
1. The
Ministry now invites eligible candidates to indicate their interest in
providing the Services. Interested Consultant should provide information
demonstrating that they have the required qualifications end relevant
experience to perform the Services.
2. The
attention of interested Candidates is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World
Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD Loans and
IDA Credits a Grants by World Bank Borrowers dated January 2011 and revised
July 2014 (Consultant Guidelines), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on
conflict of interest.
3. A
Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Selection based on
Individual Consultants (IC) method set out in the Consultant Guidelines.

Expressions of interest must be submitted in plain sealed envelope clearly
marked with the consultancy reference number and title in two sets and
addressed to;

and be deposited in the Tender Box located at the reception area of Jogoo House ‘B’ Harambee Avenue, on or before Wednesday,07 September 2016 at 11:00 am. (EAT).
The E.O.I’s will be opened on the 6th floor in the Board room no.625 immediately thereafter, in the
presence of applicants who wish to attend.
