Our
client a global leader in Freight industry is currently seeking to fill the
position of a Key
Account Manager.
The
ideal candidate should be a highly motivated individual with a strong import /
export ocean and air transportation skill set, capable of developing compelling
value propositions that foster strong relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Manage
the sales team to generate sales and a portfolio of new accounts to reach
the Company’s sales target.
- Liaise
with the operations teams to identify new sales opportunities within
existing accounts by upselling and cross selling.
- Daily
client engagement with existing clients to improve service levels, resolve
sales and service escalations etc.
- Develop
and implement SOPs, KPIs, and Budgets with sales team and clients.
Participate in daily and weekly client performance reviews. Monitor and
analyze sales trends and statistics.
- Ensure
alignment to Company policy with respect to approved quotes, contracts,
rate cards, tenders, expenditure in close liaison with the Finance Manager
- Providing
training, coaching, direction, targets and leadership support to sales
team in order to achieve department KPIs.
- Drive
and close local opportunities to create activity, revenue and “prove of
service”
- Position
the company as the preferred provider to win Local, Regional and/or
Global bids and RFQ
- Portfolio
will be determined jointly by the Vertical Heads, who will include Global
and Regional Accounts, as well as in put form KAM and the COM Area Cluster
Manager
- Act
as the single and main contact in country for all accounts assigned to the
portfolio, in respect to commercial activities
Experience
- Degree
in Business Related Field preferably sales & marketing and/or supply
chain management
- 5+
years of related outside sales experience, with a demonstrable book of
business and strong shipper relationships in diversified industries , with
at least 3 years work experience in managing team,
- Relevant
job knowledge and experience in ocean & air freight, both import
and export
