communities access the Internet.
To this end, Quavatel provides a Turn-key optical fiber network deployment and undertakes the construction of the infrastructure projects for service providers to the public, Government institutions building network infrastructure for their own use or the public, as well as, enterprises building their own networks.
Human
Resources and Administration Manager
Reporting
to the Chief Operations Officer the position will be responsible for
Maintaining and enhancing the organization's human resources by planning,
implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies,
programs, and practices. In addition will also manage all Administrative duties
of the company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains
the work structure: by updating job requirements and job descriptions for
all positions.
- Maintains
organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing
program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and
analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.
- Prepares
employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and
training programs.
- Maintains
a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting
job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling
individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay
structure revisions.
- Ensures
planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training
managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management
conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances;
counseling employees and supervisors.
- Maintains
employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying
and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to
management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating
benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts; designing and
conducting educational programs on benefit programs.
- Maintains
management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human
resource policies and procedures.
- Maintains
historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval
system; keeping past and current records.
- Completes
human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning
employees; following up on work results.
- Maintains
human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training
employees.
- Maintains
human resource staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees;
planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Contributes
to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Monitor
inventory of office supplies and the purchasing of new material with
attention to budgetary constraints
- Ensure
the smooth and adequate flow of information within the company to facilitate
other business operations
- Monitor
inventory of office supplies and the purchasing of new material with

- Provide
effective and efficient of administrative requirements at Quavatel offices
including cleanliness, facilities management, stationery and other
administration inventory management as well as provision of relevant staff
welfare services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors
Degree in Human Resource
- Experience
of implementing, maintaining and improving relevant systems and procedures
with at least 2years experience in a Human resource position.
- Familiarity
across the recruitment process, including induction, Kenya and East
Africa’s Labor laws
- Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills, written and oral
- A
team player with leadership skills
- Sound
judgement and the ability to maintain confidentiality good computer
skills: MS Excel, MS Word & Payroll Systems
- Well
organized with strong time management skills
- In-depth
understanding of office management procedures and departmental and legal
policies
