Our client, Wheels of Africa (WOA) is looking to fill the following positions;
 
Manager
 
Reporting to the Board of Directors, this position will be responsible for establishing and accomplishing business objectives by managing resources for the organization
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Increase management's effectiveness by orienting, training, coaching, counselling, and communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, appraising job results and recommending incentives for staff.
  • Develop a strategic plan by studying environmental (PESTEL) opportunities; presenting assumptions; recommending objectives.
  • Accomplish operational objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making midcourse corrections as may be appropriate.
  • Coordinate efforts by formulating and implementing procurement, marketing, field, and technical services policies and practices; coordinating actions with staff.
  • Build organization’s image and brand by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees; enforcing ethical business practices
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
Required qualifications, skills and attributes:

  • University Degree in Business Administration or any other relevant degree
  • At Least 5 years working experience where at least 2 years are in a management position
  • Be passionate about Cycling
Accountant (Part Time)
 
This position will be responsible for safeguarding WOA’s finances and ensuring that it meets its financial obligations as when they fall due.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Verify transactions in the ledger to ensure completeness and correct expenditures allocation.
  • Manage trade and non-trade payables to reduce financial risk for the organization.
  • Facilitate and ensure compliance with the statutory deductions and taxation i.e. WHT, VAT, PAYE to eliminate chances of unnecessary fines and penalties.
  • Conduct annual stock takes for WOA to update inventory registers.
  • Prepare management accounting reports and submit to management for decision making
  • Monitor and control the organization’s cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity
  • Perform bank reconciliations for the bank accounts to ensure completeness and correctness of status
Required qualifications, skills and attributes:
  • CPA K or its equivalent
  • Knowledge in relevant accounting software
  • At least 3 years’ experience in accounting
