Summary: Reporting
to the Projects Team Leader this person will oversee the conceptualization,
planning, development and implementation of client’s projects.
The
person will also understand the company’s key customers' build plans, manage
material flow, and manage quality delivery of customer expectations from ICT
projects in line with the company standards.
In addition, this position will be responsible for the day-to-day operational aspects of the service delivery process, which includes customer interface, validating project information, tracking and coordination of project activities, reporting status both internally and externally and conforming to Project Management Methodology.

Key Responsibilities:
- Project
scoping management and facilitation of sessions with both the internal
team as well as with the customer by managing expectations, confirming
timelines, and producing the necessary documentation to commence a
project.
- Project
communication and resource management from various Network Infrastructure
partners. Will be a link between all project stakeholders and activities.
- Project
risk management by highlighting and managing risks throughout the
lifecycle of projects and ensuring there are sufficient mitigation plans
in place to manage these risks.
- Ensuring
project closure by providing acceptance of the project by the project
sponsor, completion of various project records, final revision and issue
of documentation to reflect the “as-built” condition and the retention of
essential project documentation. Project closure will also include
hand-over to Support team and ensuring that all sold projects are billed.
- Handling
complex solutions to customer satisfaction as per project plan and agreed
SLA’s with the project stakeholders.
- Managing
the relationships with the customers during the implementations phase,
until hand-over phase.
- Tracking
individual project performance against the project baseline, validating
progress and providing individual project tracking and consolidated
progress validation and escalation of projects and establish management
reporting requirements.
- Identifying
project risks and/or issues and implementing necessary action plans to
manage them and avoid potential delays and scope creep.
- Working
with the project managers to monitor activities, establish objectives and
if any challenges are encountered pertaining to projects assist to resolve
the same or escalate to the next level.
Qualifications, Training and Experience:
- A
minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT/ Business related
discipline is a must (Master’s degree is highly desirable).
- Certification
in Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE 2 will be an added
advantage.
- Minimum
5 years work experience in a telecom environment with a proven track
record of Project management experience and customer satisfaction within
the marketplace.
- Experience
in implementing large and complex solutions in business and technical
domains.
- Displays
a bias for decisiveness by meeting the most aggressive timelines for
delivering high quality proposals.
- Be
a natural communicator with excellent written and oral presentation
skills.
- Able
to coordinate a team with different backgrounds and to define common
priorities and objectives
- Positive
attitude, be committed, resilience, and be achievement oriented
- Team Player with good interpersonal skills and excellent problem solving skills
